We visited for my husbands birthday with a a group of friends and had a great meal and great time. The staff were fabulous and really attentive. We'll definitely be returning.

Service fantastic as always, but food was only ok this time. The pineapple starter was over fried and extremely hard, like afraid to break teeth hard! The paneer was excellent and the other pork dish just ok. Disappointed, but this is the first time I haven’t had an amazing meal there (2 times before were perfect!). So I will give it another go!

Some of the best Keralan food I've ever had. The fried egg starter was off the scale! Beware the portions are huge though (apart from the rice which was tiny!) We had far too much food and had to take it home with us. Only criticism is the cost of the main courses, which were all £16+. Great atmosphere, decor and serving staff could not be faulted. Very attentive and polite.

I booked a table for 10 for my birthday and it was amazing. All of the food was delicious and came out on time. The staff all checked in on me several times and sang happy birthday too

Totally different experience of Indian Cuisine. Very tasty food and excellent and knowledgeable friendly staff. Just one thing is the main came as soon as we had finished starter. I personally would have liked about ten minuites between courses.

I've always had wonderful food at Kayal but this time I ordered a chicken starter and the meat was very tough, it did not seem fresh. Other food we ordered was very nice.

South Indian / Keralan vibe is excellent. New menu (since we visited some time ago) is great with vegan and meat options.

Toni made a reputation to swap a fish curry order to the Tilapia. It was excellent. Amazing meal. Loved the magician too

Our meats were slightly overcooked but other than that our meal was very nice.

If you want chicken tikka masala this is not the restaurant for you . If you want superb real Indian food with top notch service Kayal is amazing . Do book though as due to the quality of the food it is very busy
