Tempura bartered fish of the day not up to the usual high standard. Did not taste or look like freshly battered, fried fish. Rest of meals were good though including pie of the day.

Friendly and polite service and good food. Place was somewhat empty but a very pleasant dining experience.

The food was good but I felt the service was too quick ie main course came too quickly after the starters. My other gripe was I do like my vegetables served in a dish not loaded on your plate in the Kitchen. I was told I could have asked for them too be served separately but I think this should have been an automatically done for everyone

We have now visited this venue on several occasions throughout the last 2 years. Setting is stunning, staff are always courteous and polite. This time potatoes were served cold which was very swiftly dealt with. Good celebration for my husbands birthday and GoodNotes selection of gin should too.

An impromptu evening meal out which was very enjoyable with great food.

Friendly staff and well cooked/prepared food. Unfortunately the fillet steak (cooked rare) was not as tender as it should be at such a good restaurant.

We chose from the set menu and the food was excellent, We actually thought the portions would be smaller due to the price but they were normal size Would highly recommend.

Country inn with roaring log fire and delicious freshly cooked food. Staff are very attentive and always helpful. 7 of us dined. The staff made sure we had the table we requested. The food is high quality at reasonable prices. Brilliant. Tha.k you for a superb evening
