Great food and great service. Had been wanting to try this place for a while and was treated by a friend. Did not disappoint. I had to amend my initial booking and the staff were friendly and helpful in doing so. Food was amazing, compliments to the chef. Waiters were attentive and kept an eye on our table to make sure food was brought out at the right time but were not overbearing. Will definitely return.

The staff and owner are exceptionally charming and efficient.The dishes were tasty and varied and you can mix and match all styles. It was our first visit but we’ll be back.

Top class food loved everything especially the tempura and Tokyo fries delicious. Very fresh and expertly cooked would go against. Lime soda with strawberries very refreshing.

From moment we arrived, we were made to feel very comfortable and welcome. The restaurant is cleanly decorated which fits with their Japanese theme. We had several small courses, which are served as they are prepared, so you have plenty of time to savour all the outstanding flavours and textures, plus what I can only call artistry of presentation. A point was made of thanking us and asking our opinions before we left. We throughly recommend Koryu and will most definitely be returning.

The four of us really enjoyed our first visit to Koryu. None of us are very experienced when it comes to Japanese dining but we really enjoyed what we had, service and atmosphere were very good, we'll certainly be going back.

A really lovely meal as always but the restaurant was really noisy which made it hard to talk. It needs some sound absorbing panels or something as it was not even full.

The food is amazing, the Mizo soup the best we have tasted. Service was friendly and welcoming. Lunch time was quiet but will certainly go again.

We loved the old restaurant and felt it had real personal feel about and the food was spot on. The larger premises loses a bit of the feel although it does look a nice place and this time we were disappointed with the food. There was a lot of fat in the chicken and the buns were re-done as there was a fair bit of fat in them also. The owner was great and listened and explained where the meat used came from as well as taking the bund off the bill, a really nice gesture however I doubt we'll go back. Such a shame.

Very quiet on a Friday lunch time even with 20% off, restaurant was clean and service was okay.
