Dear diners, reservations are only required for guests wishing to eat at the restaurant.
Family owned and operated, La Baronia is as authentic as it gets outside of Mexico. Nestled in the university hub of Portswood, this Mexican specialist boasts a menu brimming some of the most enticing dishes you’ll find anywhere. Kick things off with poblano fundido, of fire-roasted poblano and jalapeno chillies and fresh housemade guacamole, before moving on to a serve of tacos, enchiladas, prawn chilaquiles or, Mexico’s national dish, mole rojas made with a blend of over 20 spices, chocolate, herbs and almonds. Washed down with a Mexican beer or expertly mixed margarita makes this one meal you won’t be forgetting. You’ll find La Baronia on Portswood Road – reservations are essential.
1st time visit for a birthday meal, Don't be last! Place had a great look and atmosphere, and very busy for a Tuesday, good sign. Service was not rushed but food fairly quick, hot and very tasty. Staff very attentive but not annoying. No problems recommending.
Best Mexican I’ve ever had especially the nachos which were amazing. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely be going back when I next visit my son at uni
Fabulous food and delicious cocktails! Brilliant meal. I ate the chimichanga that was hot and spicy in the best possible way with lots of sour cream.
