Much has been written about legendary Brick Lane, and the renowned Road in East London is famous for a great many things, top-notch Italian food, however, not being one of them. This may very well change now: With La Cucina offering you a wide selection of great Italian food, the task of choosing the perfect restaurant on Brick Lane has now become a little bit harder – or easier if your heart’s desire is going for true and authentic Italian delicacies.
La Cucina makes Italian food a wonderful and tantalizing experience. Starting with fresh antipasti and fine bruschetta, the restaurant on Brick Lane goes straight to the classics such as formidable caprese and prosciutto e melone as well as insalate di cesare. The selection of wines is impeccable. This is one restaurant where you can basically taste the direct ties to the mother country. La Cucina on Brick Lane is one of East London’s best kept secrets – but for how much longer?
Lovely meal in a loveky restaurant the service is faultless. Just love visiting this Italian restaurant would recommend to anyone looking for a excellent night out l.
Brilliant value. The waiters were very helpful and we were given a free limoncello at the end of our meal. Tasty food and made all 4 of us very welcome.
Delicious food as usual, friendly and attentive staff. The pizzas and goats cheese starter are very tasty and worth trying. Good price for house wine also!
Great food in a lovely relaxing environment ideally located when your on a night out in the city. Great service will defiantly be back in the future
From entering the restaurant we were made to feel very welcome and the La Cucina experience just got better and better the waiters and waitresses were all so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was delicious and myself and my partner agreed that we had possibly just had the best pizzas we had ever eaten! Brick Lane may be famous for curry's but this is a little gem of a place and next time we are in the area we will be returning!
We visited this restaurant with a voucher for a pizza and alcoholic drink, not expecting it to be anything more than acceptable. However the pizza was excellent, freshly made and prepared within sight of our table. Outside of Italy it was one of the best pizzas that we've tasted. Setting is very modern, clean and bright with natural light provided from a glass roof midway down the restaurant. Staff polite and efficient. Our special deal was good enough to encourage us to revisit whenever we are in the Brick Lane area of London and pay the standard rates from the menu.
Food quality and the friendly welcome from the hosts is top notch. We love this restaurant and it is one of our favourites of all time. If you like a tipple then try the house wine (either white or red) as this rates highly with us. The menu is extensive and portions are generous. You will not leave hungry or be rushing to the nearest burger joint to top up afterwards like you would with other Italian restaurants in London. Happy dining!
La Cucina had fantastic service and even better food! The tomato sauce was perfect and great little find in Brick Lane. Saw about 6 deliveroo pick ups in the 1.5 hours we were sat.. they're doing something right 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
The red wine was good and the starters tasty, then we were not very happy with our mains. My boyfriend's pasta had way too much cream in it and me I didnt really fancy a pizza on a medium-thick underbaked dough with flavour-less tomato sauce. The service was fine all evening until we wanted to pay the bill... All members of staff were ignoring us, not even looking in our direction or passing by quickly, trying to tidy the restaurant up before closing. It took more than 10 minutes until somebody noticed that we wanted to pay and leave. But before that all evening there was someone available if we needed anything.
Once again, delicious food, great service and value for money. I don't think there is another restaurant in London that can beat their high standards every time. My partner and I are regulars and each dining experience has been fabulous. I've rated 'average' for waiting time and noise as the food arrives in good time (not rushed or too slow). The noise level is just right with gentle jazz in the background.
La Cucina was very well established with excellent service. The food was very well presented, tasty and portion sizes were excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you for such a lovely meal.
I have gone to La Cucina several times, and it never disappoints. The menu is varied - something for everyone - and halal meat for those who need it. The food is good quality and for great prices and excellent friendly staff!
As it was lunchtime the restaurant was quiet. My friend and I only wanted a pasta dish each and wine. I hadn't seen my friend for a while and there was absolutely no pressure for us to leave or order more. The staff were lovely, attentive when needed, and very discreet when not. And of course the food was up to its usual fabulous standard.
La Cucina is a very nice restaurant. The waiters were really attentive and the pizza was simply delicious (not to forget to a reasonable price) ! Worth a visit for everyone, I will definitely be there more often!
Really super meal at an excellent price - iPhone ok my dad here and we shared a starter and a desert and had a main meal each (veal and steak). Because we had booked online with a deal we got 50% off food and the bill came to less than £30. We were also given coffee on the house! Lovely food, excellent price and super staff!
We got a bit shaky table but waiter came to us and fix it before we even managed to say something. Pizza was quickly done, I asked to replace olives with something else as I don't like them but liked the rest very much and it was done without any extra charge.
I have visited La Cucina few days ago for Sunday lunch with my sister. The food was lovely and quickly served. Very nice atmosphere inside.
We go back to La Cucina regularly. The ambience, food and service are very good indeed. We recommend this restaurant highly. Pizzas are especially good.
It is a nice and welcoming place. The food was delicious and the portions enormous, and we were asked if we would like a doggy bag. Service was very good and the atmosphere quiet so that we actually could have a conversation going. Prices very affordable and the menu much better than expected. We will come back.
Service was exceptional. Food was very good but portions were HUGE. Suggest that you consider how hungry you really are before you order too much. We were a party of 6 & nobody had any complaints -- all expecting to return again. I would recommend it. Only rated a 5 because we got too much food.
We booked for Friday evening. Even though busy (every table taken), the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Service was fine, atmosphere was really "buzzy" and furniture / décor authentic - we could have been in any northern Italian city! Recommended, especially as so different from all the other restaurants in Brick Lane.
There was eight of us for lunch and we were all very impressed, especially with the stonebaked pizzas. The size of the dishes are large compared to most London restaurants but they are still well presented and very tasty. Will definitely be returning again.
It really was a little bit of Italy in the heart of Brick Lane. Food was amazing & the staff were very patient. The 50% deal offer which we chose at the time of booking made things even better. Definitely going back !
Staff were really friendly and attentive, food great and lots of it so much we had to have doggy bags. Only problem was with the panacotta which was very grainy but the staff were really apologetic and took it off the menu. Can't wait to go again, great place.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They offered a genuine, personalised service at a time when the restaurant was very busy. The atmosphere wa s brilliant and the food was outstanding - great portions, great flavours and fantastic price
Great food, huge portions, staff welcoming and nice. we had a bday dinner we ordered mussels which were fantastic and some salmon as a starter and we had lasagne, taglioloni and ravioli as a main, all very delicious. Will definitely come back to try more. Pizza looked delicious!
We had to wait quite a long time before having our order (their chef had just been replaced to be fair to them) but the food was amazing! We used a groupon voucher and the only thing to remember is that you won't have a lot of choice for the wine with this voucher. Nice venue in Brick Lane anyway!
Food is absolutely amazing. I would definitely go back. The only one downsider was that they didn't clear the tables quick enough, and my starters arrived while I still had my hot drink (which I'd finished) sitting on the table.
Always brilliant service and lovely food. Went with a group of friends, we had a great time, the staff are so attentive always asking if we need anything. Also the bill is always a pleasant surprise, it's always good value for money. Will return soon.
A lovely first class Italian restaurant in Brick Lane. We went there on a Thursday night & the restaurant was fairly busy, but the food is good & excellent value for money. We will certainly visit again.
We keep coming back here because everything is so good. We took some friends yesterday who agreed with our assessment. Service and food excellent. Portions very large as usual. Great find in the middle of Brick Lane.
We could not fault this restaurant. It never disappoints with quality of the food, house wine is reasonable price and the staff are always checking there is water on the table. Great little find on brick lane.
Wonderful staff. The food is good and is served in very generous portions. The atmosphere was pleasantly buzzy but not too loud for conversation. Good to find a reasonably priced Italian restaurant in a sea of Indians.
The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Even if it was a busy Saturday, the service was fast. Amazing food and excellent selection. Will definitely visit again!
The food was delicious as usual. The goats cheese starter is so tasty. The service was fantastic, the lady topped up our water the whole way throughout our meal. All staff were very friendly.
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this lovely restaurant. All 4 of us had no complaints, and good portions and staff and service. The mussels were fab with lovely hot crusty bread to enjoy the sauce. Give this place a try.
Very good pizza and wine .. Me and my friend went there on Saturday for lunch, the waitress was with all her smile, friendly and very attentive ... We will be back ..
This is a great restaurant where the food is really good and the service is really good as well. Really fast service as well even when there are many people in the restaurant.
We love this place!!! Great food, good atmosphere and amazing food and wine! I would recommend this place to anyone. Whether it be for a casual dinner or a romantic evening it's perfect.
excellent throughout - welcoming atmosphere, wonderful food and reasonable prices - some of the staff spoke only poor English - but this adds to the authenticity and is a positive !! Will return.
Great Italian. Modern, smart, stylish, friendly, huge portions, value and great food. The staff were there to please, attentive but professional. Best Italian outside Italy. Not typical of Brick Lane. I'll be back.
Good atmosphere and really good pizza, highly recommend for a nice weekday dinner. We went on a Tuesday after work and it was empty but later on got busier, but still fairly quiet so you can eat in peace...
Great restaurant and superb service! We were served by Gabriel who did a awsome job:) Thanks! The food is really good highly recommended! Been here a few times and never been disappointed.
Very pleasant, helpful, friendly, polite & patience staff. Wide selection on menu, with generous portions, served in a lovely non rushed atmosphere. We will certainly be returning with & promoting to friends.
Excellent Food, Excellent Service and all round great experience. Must go! It was good fun and the waiters are always very attentive and friendly. The food portions are big and taste great.
Very attentive staff, food delicious, busy and although went first time on Groupon (a bargain) will certainly be returning in near future. Party of different ages but all enjoyed the experience.
A really nice restaurant. The food was very good and the portions were very large. Service was brilliant. Recommended highly. A real change from all the curry houses in Brick Lane.
Fantastic service and great food! Friendly attentive staff. The salmon avocado starter was delicious. The pizza was the best I've had in a while, quite authentic. Looking forward to next visit.
Absolutely LOVE la Cucina. My boyfriend and I have been 4 times and love it, and take anyone that comes to London to visit. Love the food, atmosphere and the staff!
great restaurent, i have been coming here for past one year and always get a nice , good quality pizza. highly recommended for anyone looking for a meal in east end.
