About La Lupa Ristorante & Pizzeria
La Lupa Ristorante & Pizzeria is the oldest and most well-loved Italian restaurant in Poole. It’s a family-run affair that has been in the game since 1978, and the quality of the food and the service has never, ever slipped. La Lupa is nestled in a wonderful little spot on The Poole Quay at The Old Mill, and there you’ll find traditionally made and authentic Italian pizza, fresh seafood dishes (this is the south coast), as well as main course options that will leave you glowing inside. This is not your run-of-the-mill Italian restaurant. Poole and even Bournemouth go crazy for La Lupa.

great food ,service excellent from friendly helpful staff good location would recommend this restaurant to any one we have visited la lupa many times over years and have always thought it best in poole
This is a real Italian Restaurant unlike the plastic ones on every High Street. Excellent staff, good beer and wine, super food and we finished off with a superb zabaglione which you only ever find in a proper Italian Restaurant.
Wonderful Friday evening meal, service was great and food was superb. Really homely atmosphere and definitely a place for everyone. Will definitely be returning with my girlfriend very soon
Excellent food and service. Traditional Italian food of the highest standard at a reasonable price. Great menu choices and daily specials. Would very highly recommend. Best italian restaurant in Poole.
Friendly staff from the moment we arrived. Food was excellent - We had calamari and stuffed mushrooms for starters, followed by calzone and parmigiana for mains. Beware- the portion sizes are huge! Reasonable prices and a good atmosphere made for a great evening.
It was a busy night in the restaurant with a very large party. Sadly this affected service, quality of food and pace that the food was served. At times we felt very rushed with starter and mains coming out too quickly to then being left for nearly an hour without drinks or an oppprtunity to ask for dessert menu. The food was ok but not on a par with a previous visit on a quieter night, will not be visiting again for a while.
Don't tell too many people, but it was great, been there quite a few times and each time they have different things on the 'specials' board. You really do need to book as they have large parties sometimes. Best Spaghetti in Poole.
Great food, great service. Only downside was there was no specific children's menu (I am not suggesting chicken nuggets etc) though they happily did a half portion on request it would have helped if they had made this more clear.
Really enjoyable traditional Italian restaurant. Good service. Excellent scallops starter and saltimbocca. Good wine selection. Recommended. My wife choose a second starter for her main which was a wise choice. Freshly made zabaglione was a fitting end to the meal. Well done
Good location on Poole Quay. Super selection of food from a large menu with many daily specials. Expertly cooked and presented and always very attentive staff. Will certainly visit again soon.
A memorable meal for all the right reasons. Eaten at La Lupa many times before and they are always perfect. An excellent meal capped off with a limoncello on the house.
The staff were very friendly & polite service was good great food will be going again.Had a lovely relaxing meal and evening with my husband great place to eat.
Excellent evening with extended family (13). Food was delicious and arrived together. The staff were warm, welcoming and very efficient. Highly recommend La Lupa and will certainly be returning.
Arrived and was welcomed by a young lady behind the bar. We were sat at the front of the restaurant it was very quiet with no atmosphere. We were a little disappointed that we had to pay £2.00 for Soda Water even though we also ordered alcohol. The meals were ok but the pizza a little plain.
Decor tatty, service good and attentive, food 3 out of 5, good seafood menu, ambience friendly, not 'pushy' or rushed. Family dinner - enjoyable for all. Local car parking and set on the historic quay in Poole's old town.
This restaraunt is fantastic. Great staff willing to teach you Italian at your table while you dine. Food is excellent and located perfectly on Poole quay.
Small rustic restaurant in Poole. Very welcoming and sociable. We went for lunchanged. Pizza, meatballs and Saltimbocca all good. The fish was superb! I'd definitely go again if ever in Poole.
Was made to feel very welcome, everything was explained to us that was on the special board, the meal was excellent, well worth the money.
Good friendly service and lovely food. Don't need to write anymore but need to keep going to reach 25 words. Five more to go now!!
