La Tagliata - Fitzrovia

Chose this restaurant after reading a review. We were meeting friends we hadn't seen in a while. It was a really good choice. Food was excellent. I had the La Fregola al Frutti di Mare (Sardinian Pasta with Courgettes, Prawns, Queen Scallops and Mussels), a gorgeous surprise, and followed with the tiramisu which was to die for - no exaggeration. The staff were wonderfully helpful. La Tagliata is now on our list of favourite places to eat in London.

Lovely spot with good service and food - I went twice this week!

Interesting food in ambient surroundings. Only minor quibble was I thought the wine glasses a little sub standard though the wine was fine and good value.

A pleasant Italian restau, with agreeable environment and good food. Starters were very good, especially the cold cuts platter, which however was unremarkable in the cheese. Main dishes we tried were all pasta, with mixed success. The crab linguini was good, the ravioli and the tagliatelle with porcini ok to good, not so much the fruit di mare dish. The Montepulciano wine was good. The service by the young stuff was excellent. And The cost was entirely reasonable, at around 35 pounds per person.

Service presentation and experience were excellent. Highly recommended for any occasion.

Very pleasant -- no loud music, some other customers but not packed, easy-going, non-snooty service, a sense of not being rushed, and VERY tasty food and drink.

Good service. Good starter (Chilli prawns) but the main course (taglietelle) was so-so. The recommended (Sardinian) wine was very good.
