Lazenby's on York Place

Attentive service and particular care taken to provide gluten free food to one if our party. Food was delicious, served beautifully and to be recommended, particularly the Bouillabaisse!

Lovely atmosphere ,amazing staff ,food was beautiful we had 3 courses and great value for money defiantly returning if you haven't tried it take my word for it you won't be disappointed

Friendly family run Bistro serving good quality food and wines. Being in the town centre and to able to park right outside free after 6pm is very convenient!

Great quality bistro food in the centre of Scarborough - open lunch times as well as evenings. Less mundane 'cafe' like than many competitors - feels a bit more special. Highly recommended!

This was a very disappointing meal. With the exception of the wine and the water, all courses were not at the standard we expected, and we will not be going back. We both had mainly fish dishes which had little taste and were overcooked. Bones in a fish dish are not acceptable. Sorry.

Best mussels we have ever had - lovely menu choices, great ambience, very friendly staff. This was our first visit for a pre-theatre occasion but we look forward to coming back for a whole evening to make the most of everything Lazenby's has to offer. Highly recommended!

We had a great time - the food was delicious - and the staff were very aware we were heading off to the theatre and service was prompt without being rushed..... will definitely go again when we visit Scarborough again...

We had a wonderful meal at Lasenbys. The seafood linguine was incredible, they have a great menu for children and amazing wine! Highly recommended, we loved it!

Went for a Valentine’s meal. The service was excellent and a lovely cosy atmosphere. Quite pricey and although the menu and food were good, I thought it could be improved upon to reach an overall excellent standard. Look forward to re-visiting to see. Potentially could get higher in the ratings with a few adjustments.

Wow what a fabulous find, lovely restaurant and the food is superb. Went there on a weds evening 4 of us there was a special board on as well as the main menu. Could not fault any part of the service or the meal. All I can say it was brilliant.

Lazenby's is my favourite little find! Fantastic, authentic French food in a relaxing and elegant atmosphere. Valerie always makes everyone so welcome & her husband, Simon, creates the most amazing dishes. I take all our guests there & it has never let me down. I can't recommend the restaurant enough!

We ate at Lazenby's as an extended family of 11. The restaurant set us up with our own table in the downstairs area which was perfect. The service was wonderful, food top notch, and complemented by an extensive wine list. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a special dinner.

Food and restaurant was lovely. However we waited 1 hour 5 mins for our starters to arrive and 1 hour 35 mins before our main course arrived. We wasn't offered any bread/nibbles whilst we waited. Only offered bread when the starters arrived. I mentioned it when paying the bill and was told it was because people attended at the same time. IE. 8pm. Bit of a shame as the food was great.

Great food Great service. Nice warm friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit in September. Our first experience of Lazenbys was back in January and we loved it then also. We only found out about it just by walking by one day but really happy we did.

Great restaurant, good service and great food. Best restaurant we have been to in Scarborough, would recommend it to anyone wanting a good meal in an enjoyable environment.

Having visited here on several occasions previously we find that the food is consistently good, with a lovely friendly atmosphere and staff. Can't wait to go there again next year.
