Le Bouchon has brought the fine wine and light dining typical of classic French bars a vins to London’s Blackheath. Le Bouchon, on Tranquil Vale, serves over 120 different wines by the glass, the carafe or the bottle. This cosy, quaint wine bar is the passion project of French expatriate Jean-Philippe Tessier, who was desperate to recreate the mood of his beloved eventide Paris upon his arrival in London. Recognising a dearth of proper French wine bars, he opened one himself. Lucky us. Making an evening of it at Le Bouchon is to be charmed.
