Le Raaj - Sedgefield

Food was good as was the service but it feels more like a fast food restaurant. Sitting on top of other diners, felt uncouncomfortable and intimidating.

Took friends and very disappointed at having to wait one and a half hours between starter and main course Food very good however and apologies for delay given. Won’t stop us returning

Went for a team dinner. Restaurant is beautifully decorated. Food was served promptly. Really tasty. Service fab. Enjoyed by all of us. Little hidden gem

They were fairly busy and it took them a while to take orders and food to arrive but food was good and decent portions on the mains. We were a very large group and we felt on the whole we were accommodated well.

Food was beautiful as was the restaurant, only issue we had was the lighting fast speed at which we were served our food. We were in and out in about 40 minutes.

Food was very nice with the best Garlic Naan I’ve ever tasted. Always a good sign when a restaurant is well attended on a Thursday evening.

Food is fabulous, great atmosphere. Only problem was how long we had to wait for service, but this didn't deter from out overall experience in the end.

Good friendly service, tasty food. The fact that it is always busy says a lot and if you want to sit in a quiet area you can do that.

Has to be one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. The food is unreal and the staff are always polite and friendly. Definitely my number one choice.

We had a lovely Valentines night at the Restaurant. Very good meal as usual. The tables were scattered with little hearts and there were heart shaped balloons and each lady received a red rose. All very well done. But it was a set meal and when you added a bottle of wine to the bill it was a very expensive night

Lovely interior. Staff very friendly. Lovely food but the price let it down by far the dearest Indian in the area. I would not go back due to the price.

Great food and brilliant service, we had a lovely Valentines Evening meal, as did lots of other couples the room was decorated with red heart shaped balloons and the tables had small red hearts scattered around. Then the final finishing touch was a single red rose handed to each lady as she left. A lovely gesture to finish off a lovely evening. The staff are all very attentive and we have always found them to be extremely polite and helpful. Well done Le Raaj and we wish you continued success.

Booked for 7pm on a Friday and the place was buzzing. Efficient service, great food and good atmosphere. Excellent naan - always a good sign! First visit and will definitely be returning.

We booked a table for 5 for 8pm, when we arrived the reception was poor. There were a out 15 other people waiting to be seated, utter chaos. So we left and enjoy a lovely meal at our usual curry house. Great disappointment

We had an unexpected and very nice experience, food very good, staff welcoming, service quick but unhurried. We`ll go again, and tell others about Le Raaj.

Food was fantastic, one of best Indian meals ever, only downside was the drinks did not all arrive and had to repeatedly ask for them, but they were very busy.

The tables are so close together it was uncomfortable, the food was ok but our onion bhaji starters were soggy. Decent portions. Probably won’t return

Lovely setting and decor. Traditional background music. Service is fast and the food well prepared and cooked. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Nice waiting area dedicated to either pre dinner drinks or take away pick up.

Food was lovely, service could have been a little better as had to ask for popodoms and pickles twice and also for a drink twice. Staff were friendly enough though and restaurant is really clean and tidy

Amazing food great service , really nice surroundings, can not fault it and would defiantly reccomend this Resteraunt and a great place to have a party

Fabulous all round on Christmas Day.. couldn’t fault the place or the staff, excellent menu with nothing taken away for Christmas not like other restaurants who seem to curtail quality for overcrowding... Definitely would do Christmas Day again... in fact we’re going back this week..

I love Le Raaj. I have been several times as it is very close. It has never disappointed. The food is good and the service is excellent and friendly. Will definitely be going back.

Food was really good ...but it was delayed because our order got lost.Given a complimentary drink.been to this restaurant a number of times usually very good

The food was fine, and the setting was pleasent enough, however the stinger for the evening was telling us after around 90 mins of eating and drinking, that they needed the table and could we hurry up and leave, not a great end to the evening. No customer wants to be told after spending around £80 to be asked to hurry up!!!

Food and service excellent in a very busy restaurant with a good atmosphere. Main courses came very quickly after the starters; felt a little rushed!

Delicious food, reasonably priced, good service. Lost a point for getting one of the meals wrong although they did rectify straight away. Have visited on 3 occasions and would definitely return.

Four of us had a very enjoyable evening. Staff were attentive and the food excellent. It was our second visit and we would definitely return.

The restaurant was clean and tables settings well spaced out. The staff were friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The only complaint was slow service at the beginning. Will definitely go there for another meals.
