Service was excellent and the afternoon tea was delicious. Booked a table and got seated the second we walked in. Very friendly welcome on arrival.
We had afternoon tea, great scones & cakes, nice selection, staff were really nice, served very quickly, the rest of the menu looked great, would go again - mmmmmm.
Amazing experience, staff are excellent and the food was absolutely amazing! Staff are attentive and ensure you have an excellent stay. All food is fresh
Great service, lovely afternoon tea enjoyed in nice surroundings. Staff were friendly and attentive, plenty of refills of tea and cigfee for me sad my pals
Staff very pleasant. Thought there were too many sweet things, needed more savoury. Scones didn't seem freshly baked that day. Sandwiches were tasty with the exception of the chicken wrap, which was dry.
Lovely afternoon tea with my mam and in laws. Nice room, good service, nice variety of food and happy to bring more hot water for the tea. Cheese and tomato sandwiches a bit boring but the chicken korma wrap and salmon and cucumber sandwiches were lovely. Cheese and fruit scones slightly warm and so delicious. Happy to bring me raspberry jam as I don’t like strawberries. Little cakes lovely and we all brought the little chocolate one home as had had enough. Worth going and you can always have a wander along the beach afterwards to work it off.
Veggi afternoon tea-not great choice of sandwiches. No label so didn’t know what was in them until tasting them. No offer of tea top up
The room was cold! I expected it to be a cosy tea room with confirtabke chairs. I expected the crockery and tea pot to be china. Although the food was fine it was not the experience I was hoping for. I would return but maybe for beakfast or a coffe and cake.
Booked here for afternoon tea at the “Tall ships” very disappointed. Waited over an hour for food to arrive after asking 3 times, an hour after the time it was booked for, unbelievable at £28. Staff were very nice, polite, friendly but very busy, was clear they couldn’t cope with the demand. Won’t be returning
Good service and nice sandwiches. Scones a little dry - but plenty more butter and cream provided when requested. I didn’t eat the cakes so can’t comment but my companions seemed to enjoy them and the remainder were boxed up for us to take. Lovely view too. Only downside is the quite loud “Muzak” which doesn’t reflect an afternoon tea atmosphere at all.
