LiAise Bistro

I really like this bistro. The chef always take the time to speak to customers asking if everything is o.k. with your meal . The food is always good and very good value.One small blip, I booked on line but this had not been put in the diary,

The atmosphere was friendly, the staff attentive, appreciated the chef taking time to have a chat with his customers. Only downside was that my starter was almost cold, and my wife's ribs somewhat overdone but will visit again sometime.

This is the first time I have had Sunday lunch here. Presentation was poor. The vegetables were over cooked, with the parsnips being rubbery and the roast potatoes not how I would expect them. The carrots were too long and over lapped the plate. The beef was draped over the veg instead of being flat on the plate and the Yorkshire pudding was a poor example of what it should be like. The starter of mushrooms was tasty but poorly presented. The puddings were the best course. I have been here before for evening meals and enjoyed the food but this time Sunday lunch was a little too untraditional

Service of appetisers a little slow and had run out of 3 main dishes by 7.30pm but food delicious and surroundings very nice. This was our second visit and would return again.

Nice layout to restaurant. Staff could be a bit more smarter. Food was to a good standard. I feel the place has more to offer and in time it will get bette, hopefully to become a regular eating place for myself and friends and family. Keep up the good work

Always good service and friendly staff and good food. It's a shame it is so tucked away, needs more people to put the word out. Nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of town

the meal was very good and it was a very busy evening. we were sat in the middle of the room at a table for 2. the only problem was at 19-00hrs the sun was low and streaming in the centre window which unfortunately did not have a blind and I therefore had to sit with my hand up to the side of my face. We will still visit again as we enjoyed the food and service.

Clean restaurant, quick great extremely friendly service and great food with a great variety on offer. My daughter asked for a variation to the set menu and this was no trouble!!

The food was really good, we are looking forward to going back again. It could well become our new local. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

The staff were very pleasant but the food was disappointing. The hake was flavourless and was very small and grey in colour not white and flaky as normal.

Underwhelmed to be honest after reading other reviews. Steak was good though. Squid starter had very little if any chilli in it. Belly Pork had no rind on it. Condiments could of been presented better and not in plastic bottles. Toilets were good.

Food and service were excellent. We were made very welcome and staff very attentive. Would recommend this venue and will be coming back again soon.

Totally awesome night, the food was cooked to perfection and the chef came to chat to us to make sure the food was cooked exactly how we wanted! Brilliant selection of gins & service was just as good can't wait to go again !

Many of the tapas starters were not available. Also three of the main selection were not. Food okay but not great. Would not book again soon.

It was our first visit to this bistro and we will definitely return. The staff/owners were very welcoming and the food and service was great.

Great food and service. We all had the tapas dishes and I found the lime & chilli squid and the satay chicken really delicious. Best cooked squid I've ever had. Apply tart tatin also very nice but could have done with being a bit more caramalised. Will definitely visit again but won't be driving next time so I can try some of the tempting cocktails!

Food is wonderful. The staff are very professional and attentive. The atmosphere is great. You can just sit at the bar and have a drink from a lovely range with very knowledgeable staff. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the chef even came out to say hello! I will definitely be returning :)

My partner declared his meal 'the best roast he has had for a long time!'. The portions were very generous and the surroundings very stylish

Nice to get a decent roast in Newton Abbot !! The creamy cabbage was to die for, good portions, friendly efficient service, will visit again

Very enjoyable, we were in at 18:30 so was nice and quiet. Food very good, got beaten by the nachos sharer, didn't want to spoil the main.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly owner and yummy food! Toilets were interesting :) would come back again! Only sad point - the lifts don't work, so accessibility isn't great. Not the restaurants fault, naughty council!
