Staff were good and polite, but scored down as thought it was a bit pricey for what you got

Food was great, however we were only offered 1 menu when others had the option of a second. Service could have been better from the waiting staff, some looking a little scruffy and unprofessional. But overall enjoyed our visit.

The atmosphere was lovely. There was a delay in serving the food though. We waited 45 minutes from ordering to receive starters. Staff were very pleasant

Great staff nice pub/restaurant but the food was very average for the price £90 for 2 x starters, burger, lasagna 2 x drinks is way overpriced

Food was okay for a pub but much too expensive for what it was.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had, the food was below par. I do not blame the staff, they can only work with the tool they have been given by the management team. I would not recommend using this place as a hotel, it should be re-categorise as a cheap B&B.

Friendly welcoming Staff. Nice fish and steak pies but disappointing gammon steak. Annoying to find a service charge included in bill without approval…. Would have appreciated having been asked first!

The pie was obviously pre made and I have had a better one at Greggs. Very overpriced for. What it was. My wife did not enjoy the fish pie. Would not recommend.

Received a warm welcome from staff and chose a table in the conservatory. Ordered the Linden Burger with fries. Delicious! Then the Knickerbocker Glory with lemon curd - like another review said - the best ever! Lovely outdoor seating area & there’s a small kid’s play area. Spotlessly clean.

The newly refurbished Linden Tree was full on this visit and was therefore very busy. Despite this the kitchen and floor staff coped very well and there was a certain buzz around the place and nice ambience. All of the food served was delicious and the staff appreciated any comments we had with regard to the new menu. I would recommend the Tree for a visit anytime.

We had our most expensive Sunday Roast which came on a serving dish for 2, which was very tasty. The vegetables came out on 3 small enamel dishes which consisted of roast potatoes, carrots and cauliflower cheese, we however would of liked mashed turnip or parsnips to accompany the carrots. I think for £20 a head is too expensive for us to recommend to friends I'm afraid 😨

Honestly the best steak and knickerbocker glory I have ever had. Staff were excellent. Welcoming, helpful and attentive but not overly so. We can not wait to go back.
