The food is not even worth the paper on which the menu is printed on. We had asked for a fish croquette and got a banana flower croquette instead. We had to separately order a banana croquette again to make the guys understand that they had got our order wrong. We had ordered a few other things but all of them taste wise was not authentic. I must say they didn’t charge us for the two wrong orders they made. Overall it was a super bad let down. Spending so much money for this kind of food is just unprofessional. Even talking to the staff they said they are aware of their food is not good and over priced. Hence I ask if they are aware of it and not acting on it ... why should any one go back to them ?

This was a wonderful experience, we had seen the restaurant advertised on television and became excited by the concept of smaller portions per dish and more of them. Wow!! the Goat , chicken and prawns were to die for. The staff were very helpful and attentetive, they displayed what I call " the service heart"..... the love for pleasing others. Well done !! Busier than I’ve ever seen it, yet the service was as personal as ever. I’m a glutton for the jhal muri, rare outside Bengal. The puchkas were a must as well (they are not panipuris or golgappas, they are puchkas). And the Tangra chicken is always a treat. Excellent.

Really nice staff with amazing food (except for the fried okra which was more chewy than crispy). Rest of food amazing, some unusual flavours and dishes not commonly found elsewhere. Highly recommend!

The rosewater flavored chicken was strange, the goat was much closer to mutton, while the cauliflower was quite tasty. Very unimpressed with the expensive wine and 12. 5% service charge. Overall a very average meal for 2 for pnd69

Overall excellent. Food is rich, prefer the cauliflower less cooked but the prawn and the goat curries are exceptional

Amazing food and great service. It was nice to find an Indian restaurant that served something different from the Bangladeshi-based cuisine. An excellent range on the menu and some really interested taste combinations.

We missed the slot due to traffic. We phoned as well when we found that we shall be delayed. We had to wait outside for a place. the place was very small and compact. We are from Kolkata. We expected the food to have the same taste as Kolkata. Unfortunately, the food taste was not to my expectation. I spoke to the owner as well and told him that next time I shall try Fish Curry and plain rice which is the staple food for Bengalis from Kolkata. He said that he would provide to my taste. Otherwise, the staff was very courteous. We were given a complimentary dish of Papadums as well. It was a good outing never- the- less. We shall give it another try.

The food was great. All members of staff were very friendly and helpful. It was quite noisy but it just shows how popular the restaurant is.

Finally an authentic Bengali foodie experience offering Londoners the chance to try a regional Indian cuisine little known or appreciated - hope that changes. Will be going back for more!

Tucked away in a corner of Covent Garden, this restaurant has very tasty food and lovely staff. The food is unusual but really lovely. We had a selection of starters which were very nice but the highlight of the mask for us we the delicious Goat dish. The best was soft, tender and delicious. We also had the crispy sea bass which was absolutely lovely. The only downside was that even though we had booked and then rung to say we would be a little late, they didn't seem to know we were coming. Having said that, they were made up a table for us straight away and the rest of the evening was lovely. Thanks

Totally delicious, food that you can’t get at a usual Asian restaurant. The lamb biriani was great, goat curry a 100 yr old recipe from the owners family. And what I call ras malai , delicious sweet cheese ball in delicately spiced cream, heavenly! So good can’t wait to go again. Thank you 👍🏼
