Maria's Greek Meze Bar Tavern

There was a large party of students on several tables running down middle of restaurant and it was very noisy, very squeezed into corner. Very disappointed with food, chips were dry as if re fried, salad was just leaves one 1/4 slice of tomato, normally Greek food has lots of onions. Pork/chicken souvlaki were nice but sausages not so much. One was like a hot dog and the other filled with Philadelphia cheese no taste. Overall very disappointed.

I used to live in Athens, and the quality of the food here is just like being back there - would highly recommend to anyone!

Service was brusque, my food was edible but without flair, my partner's seafood platter had many items overcooked, dark brown and dry. Disappointing.

I came here when visiting my son in Cardiff and it was such a great place: nice menu, i tried many appetisers, all nice, and the staff were so kind and really fast in serving and helping in anything I might wish. Furthermore prices are also Ok. Keep going this way.

We were the first table there and our starter was served quite quickly. However we were very disappointed to have to wait over an hour for our main course. Several other tables came in after us and got served both courses before us. Two of our group had to leave in the middle of eating their main course to move the cars because the 2 hour time limit on the carpark had expired. There was no proper apology for the delay so therefore we did not leave any tips

First time dining here. The place was absolutely packed and the service was amazing. We had a table of 12 and every single meal came out at the same time. Amazing value for money and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Will definitely be returning.

The atmosphere and food was incredible. We were a table of 6 but two guests cancelled last minute due to family commitments and illness and the staff were fine about it and made sure we had a brilliant time.

Thank you to the staff at Maria’s it was my sons 27th birthday and we attended as a family. We went with the recommendations and we’re not disappointed. As we attended midweek there was the option of x3 courses for £20 which is amazing value this offer is valid Tues - Thursday evenings so we took advantage. I took a few candles and asked them to bring them out lit on his desert which they did and we sang Happy Birthday. The house red was superb and great value all in all you couldn’t go wrong. For authentic Greek food I would highly recommend.

First time here, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was great, I could have been in Greece. Food was so tasty and very well cooked. Like most places it would have benefited from air con but that is all I can fault it on. Cannot wait tongo back.
