McCooley's (Concert Square)

Possibly the nicest meal ive ever had. Nice big bar, lots of room. Friendly staff. Only thing i didnt like was where we were sat, soft seated booths everwhere and we were sat on hard seats. However would definitely eat here again and reccomend this to anyone looking for both a fantastic meal and a bit of craic. Will be visiting again!

Called me to say they were overbooked and couldn't guarantee my table, even though we booked online. We arrived and they found us a table not long after so fair play to them for sorting it out. Food was decent, lots of screens for the sport and quite good service. They seemed a bit confused about whether you could vape indoors or not though!

First time I had been and it was great. Booked for 4 persons so we could have a meal and drinks while watching the football. The booking process is easy ( would recommend booking as it seems very popular) Asked for a table by a TV and they sat us right in front of the big screen :) Once sat down the very pleasant staff take your orders so you never have to go to the bar. The service was great, never had an empty glass. The food is great value and the all day breakfast we ordered was very tasty. Overall it's a wonderful venue for live sport with tv screens everywhere. Efficient service with a smile and not too pricey either. Would recommend it to all. Well done McCooleys

Service was slow and the waitress forgot my first orderly drinks Beer was also flat when it did arrive Good atmosphere and my son enjoyed his burger

Went here to watch the boxing. Great place for watching the sport and having a few beers. Staff were really friendly and atmosphere was great

Staff are really friendly here, nice atmosphere as well with the live singer. The food was very good especially with the 25% off for students!

Nice intrest in place, changed a lot from when it used to be a club, good decor intrest in different atmosphere from other places in liverpool

Excellent service. Waitress was very helpful, and the food was great quality. Brilliant atmosphere during the football and boxing, and also a live band on later in the evening. Great place.

Although it was very quiet in there, the service was very slow.no one came back to check the food was ok untill we had finished our meals.

Great atmosphere and food is good value for money! Easy online booking...we turned up early but they were completely fine with that and showed us to our table :0)

We booked for Father's Day as a friend recommended the food. There was 9 of us and we weren't disappointed. Roast dinner was fab, proper roasties and veg, not dry like other places! Service was great, really looked after us. Would definitely go back.

Food was amazing and all the staff were lovely, I had a lovely birthday with my family here. Will definitely recommend it and will be visiting again very soon

Overall we had an enjoyable experience. The food and drinks were reasonably priced. We had a few hiccups whilst we were there, however McCooley's staff dealt with the issues very professionally and swiftly. In particular we enjoyed the live music in the evening.

Table was ready on time. Lively atmosphere. Excellent service and probably the best value for money that I have had in a long time. The sauce on the ribs was to die for.

Went on Sunday for Sunday lunch, staff very helpful, starters lovely, main meal I had beef my husband had chicken couldn't fault any thing portions large well worth a visit we will go back and recommend to family and friends

Watched the boxing could do with subtitles on as live music was playing also but lovely exsperiance Reservation service I would Defo use again .

A great place, with great atmosphere and really quality food. The biggest selling point is it's great variety in drinks at very reasonable prices. Staff there are also very helpful and friendly.

Went to watch the Everton v Chelsea FA cup match. Was told it would be on....very disappointed as missed the first 20mins due to rugby being shown and staff unsure on how to show various games at a time over multiple screens. Service poor, waited ages for drinks and food.

Fantastic night at McCooley's. Brilliant pub in the heart of Concert Square, the food was great and the band The Reform were fantastic! I'd definitely recommend this place if you're coming to Liverpool for a night out.

Had lovely nibbles and cocktails, atmosphere was great and staff friendly and helpful, would definitely go back again, I've recommended it to all my family and friends

Booked for lunch on Sun 27th Dec. The Irish Stew was awful and the service was very slow despite the place being virtually empty. We won't be rushing back.

Visiting McCooley's was a very positiv experience. Good service, friendly staff, great food. The menu was exciting, and we liked the size of the Place. We'll be back , for sure (:

Great bar with friendly helpful staff. Loads of atmosphere. It's a bar that seems to attract people who are nice to be around. Drinks are reasonably priced too. One of our company had the food. He really enjoyed it. I've been to McCooley's many times and it's my No.1 bar 😀👏🏻

Absolutely excellent. Our server (didn't get her name, but she had long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail) was exceptional, she did her job perfectly. We will be back x
