Have always had a great experience when I’ve been here

This was our second meal here while on holiday for a week in Torquay. We learnt from the first visit to have skinny burgers (no bun) and one portion of chips between us. We had two different choices from the first visit and there were two more we’ll try when we next visit the area! The puds were wonderful, I had the chocolate brownie which was like the chocolate fondants I’ve eaten in France. Evidently the chef had tried a tweak to the recipe, not sure how it was different from his normal method but it was sensational. The service was great again, friendly, attentive, efficient. The restaurant was full again (wet Thursday in February!), less noisy than previous visit where there had been two big parties, so could hear the beats this time. Very impressed, best meals of the week!

Visiting Torquay and happened to walk past Meat 69 in the morning, booked a table online. We were first people to arrive but the place was full and buzzing by the time we finished. The food was excellent, service great. I should have read the menu more carefully and chosen a skinny burger (without the bun) and we should have ordered just one set of fries between us. The rosemary fries were delicious but I had to leave a lot to make room for some pud!

Busy but service was great and staff were on top of it all. Great food as usual - top marks!
