Meghna Grill

Another great night at Meghna Grill. This neighbourhood stalwart has been on the same leafy stretch of NW8 for over 40 years and it's still here for several reasons - the food is consistently fantastic, the serving staff are lovely and very knowledgeable about the menu (our waiter has been working there for 33 years!) and the atmosphere is ideal for intimate dinners or larger groups. Last night, our food was excellent and the other couple we dined with were impressed by the meal and the loyalty of the staff and customers. My husband's family have been dining here for three generations!

It was empty at 8:30 on a Friday night, now I know why. Terrible food, appalling service they got our order wrong and didn't bother to change it. Will not be going back. Very sad as it used to be the best curry house in St. John's Wood. Very disappointing.

Lovely décor and a good variety of meat and veggie authentic food. Very good service too with the staff were also flexible with the dishes.

Really great food as always at Megna Grill. Good atmosphere too but service slightly slow as we went on New Year's day so probably a bit short staffed. Normally attentive service so not a problem.

Food was generally good stuff, apart from the lamb dishes, in which the meat appeared to be massively overdone and therefore chewier than a carthorse's tendons. Service was OK; polite and fast enough, but we were left waiting a while for some of the starters, and had to chase some of the dishes for the main course like they were still alive. The waiters were also pretty keen to clear our table before we'd finished eating. Value for money wasn't great for a pretty standard curry house, and when I say 'wasn't great' I mean the phrase 'world's most expensive curry' was tossed around in the aftermath.

Tasty meal at the Meghna Grill on a quiet Monday evening. Food was as always freshly prepared and delicious. Would always highly recommend and booking is essential at the weekend.

Very friendly staff and great food. We enjoyed the whole experience . especially the starters. Little touch of a red rose given to every woman in the restaurant was very sweet

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Meghna. The restaurant ambience was very relaxing, the wait staff attentive, and food fresh and delicious! Definitely recommend!! Just be sure to tell waiter your spice level, we forgot to and weren't asked, so everything was very mild! Delicious, but may have had the curry up a notch!
