Located at something of a crossroads when it comes to Stoke-on-Trent neighbourhoods, up on Snow Hill north of Shelton, east of Cliffe Vale, west of Hanley Park and south of Smithfield and Hanley itself, Mirchi has a large and loyal fanbase. Celebrating the joy of Indian cuisine is what this restaurant aims to do, and it does so in colourful, aromatic and flavourful style. A capable caterer and host for private dining events and large parties, dining at Mirchi also rewards a simply pick-and-choose from the a la carte menu. Grab a great value express lunch from Monday to Friday, a lunchtime thali sampler on Saturdays and Sundays, or go for the house special of Hyderabadi dum biryani.
Very nice restaurant. The tables were well laid out and not on top of each other. The food and service were both excellent, with no delay in getting it to our table. I would definitely recommend it. My only minor complaint is that we could have done without the usual Indian music in the background !!
I have been here several times and have always found the food to be of a high standard. The staff are very friendly and the service is prompt.
Visited with my husband following a recommendation from a friend. Great food great service I would highly recommend a visit. I also noticed they had a function room upstairs.
Thank you to the staff at Mirchi - Stoke they were very pleasant, organised and very accommodating as there we were a party of 24. Food was excellent, which we did not have to wait a long time for and good value for money. Will certainly dine there again.
Been visiting Mirchi for several years now and I've never had a poor meal. Food is of a high standard and the staff are always pleasant and efficient. When you walk in someone always greets you with a friendly smile, sets the tone for a nice evening.
This is the best Indian food you will find in North Staffs -in fact perhaps even in East Cheshire. The variety of starters is way beyond the typical Indian restaurant in the UK featuring Idlis, Dosas and Vadas - and each dish has a unique flavour rather than the usual 'made from the same stock' . Even the veggie side dishes were rich in flavour and spice. The staff are great. Plenty of parking - been several times and never been disappointed.
South Indian food was fine but the north Indian food was hopeless. Simple street food starter like bel puri was served after the main course and very poor as there was no traditional potato and tamarind sauce. I complained to the manager who explained they were busy-this is no excuse for poor quality as they could have indicated that the item ordered was not available. Mirchi should stick to south Indian food which they do well.
First impressions are everything, and we were greeted by a lovely, smiling gentleman. From then on, the food was tasty and piping hot and all the rest of the staff were very attentive and friendly too. We had the set meal for 4 so we didn't know wehat we would be eating - a different way of doing it and a lovely surprise. Will definitely be booking up again.
First time here and food was very good. Started with a mixed platter for 3 which cost the same as the mix platter for 4 so it was a bit naughty of the restaurant to not advise at the time of ordering but the food made up for it. Lots of choice and lots you don't see at the usual curry house. And its licensed. Definitely going back.
What can I say? We go to eat here regularly, the food is AMAZING, the service is good and the menu is changed fairly often. If you try this restaurant you will not be disappointed and you can try some southern Indian food rather than the regular Bangladeshi Indian foods.
