For a decadent meal of duck and wine, London locals should all be making their way to Monsieur Le Duck in Farringdon. This artisan restaurant is deeply passionate about French cuisine from the Gascony region, which neighbours the Spanish border. Inspired by “douceur de vivre”, which translates to “sweetness of living”, the team here believe life is best enjoyed over indulgent food and drink, and leisurely atmosphere. They’ve certainly brought that to life in their restaurant, now located in a new home on Clerkenwell Road in Farringdon. Guests can expect confit duck croquettes with truffle mayo, goat’s cheese and prune salad, mussels in white wine cream broth, or char-grilled medium rare duck breast in red wine jus. Teamed with local Gascony wines, Armagnac digestifs and all-round hospitality, a meal at Monsieur Le Duck is one to savour.
