My other half is South African, we came for his birthday. All the food was amazing, really good, authentic, and delicious. It took quite a long time to arrive, but we enjoyed the ambiance. The waiting staff, particularly the blonde lady, were lovely. The only complaint I have is the lack of good wine. There was a choice of a ‘summer’ red (ie not proper red), 2 whites and a rose. I’m not averse to paying £25 for a bottle of wine at a restaurant if it’s good quality, but Kumala is a fiver a bottle at Tesco! I really was shocked to see they’d charged us so much for the wine. Overall the food was good value, we got a sharer plate costing £40 and we couldn’t finish half between the two of us. I can’t stress enough how good the food was!

Don't waste your time. Our booking was at 6:30. We left at 8:00. In that time the bought out 2/3 tapas dishes for our starter, the wings and remaining tapas dish never turned up and our glasses were empty the majority of the time. Nakira's excuse was 'the (two) other tables pre-ordered their meals.' But let's bear in mind that the 2nd table arrived at least an hour after we were seated. Needless to say I left without paying when the manager said this unbelievable excuse.

We arrived at 9:40 ordered our food, 1 hour later our food still hadn’t arrived. We let the waitress know we was leaving. She informed the manager, who then said it would be another 5 minute. So we left

Booked for 13:00 on Sunday. Arrived at 12:50 so we would not be late. By 13:05 the shutters were still down and we could not get in. Went to Turtle Bay instead. Really disappointed with not being able to go seeing as we had to drive into town for this meal.
