This is a hidden gem - a great little place, excellent food (especially the waffle dessert) very attentive staff and a relaxing atmosphere for dining.
We really enjoyed this Lovely restaurant. The food was very good. The service was brilliant from very friendly staff. We Will definitely return. Real hidden gem!
Nice place with friendly staff, food was really good and a fair price. Good selection of food types and good selection of wine. Will visit again.
A wonderful experience, staff so friendly and welcoming, and the food is great. An altogether relaxing way to end an evening at the theatre, thank you
Atmosphere was nice and the selection of food was impressive but most dishes were bland and meats (chicken, venison, veal and duck) we're all amateurishly cooked. Our starters were okay but one of our party was served rancid guacamole, brown and smelling of ammonia. Obviously the whole batch had turned because he was offered extra salsa instead. The staff dealt with the issue well and were apologetic and it was fine. Main courses were lacklustre to say the least. The venison had to be sent back to the kitchen twice because it was stone cold in the middle still. Sauces were bland. Chicken tough. Duck under cooked. When my friend decided to try and at least negotiate some money off his meal because of the issues with the venison he met a stone wall with the waitress and she was very cold and terse. My friend was absolutely on his best behaviour and polite to her and it was disappointing how they handled the situation. I would not recommend this restaurant. I booked it because my first choice was fully booked (Spitfire) and it seemed interesting which a good selection. The cuts of meat were good but massively let down by bad cooking and less than perfect customer service. I hope they can improve as they have the ability to be very good.
This is a lovely little restaurant. The staff was friendly and very polite, the service was excellent, and the food was really good. I loved the fact that although the space was small, no kitchen smells were detectable, and the atmosphere was completely clean. I will definitely visit again.
It is a lovely little restaurant, the food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it, especially when going to the hippodrome as its right behind it.
Lovely people who smiled the whole time and lovely food. The king prawns were delicious and the baked salmon perfect. So handy for the Hippodrome. Definitely going again.
Amazing good quality food Lovely friendly staff always happy to help Great setting so close to city centre and town idea if your going to the Bristol Hippodrome
