Food was OK but it took them 90 minutes to serve 11 of us so we had less time to play pool upstairs on tables we'd booked. They also served me a rare steak instead of a medium and it came with the wrong sauce, so not brilliant on the service front.
On arriving at the restaurant we were warmly welcomed and all the waiters were most attentive and helpful. Our meal was mouthwateringly delicious and well presented. The garnish of spinach was cooked in a way that made it so tasty and crisp.
Booked with my tastecard with no problem. We both ordered steak which was cooked perfectly, in fact, one of the best steaks I've had in a very long time! Sides at £1.50 are the cheapest in London but not big enough to share. But at that price, why would you? There were only two other tables seated in the restaurant but it was a Wed night. Small place with nice ambience. Good balance of homely, comfortable and relaxing without feeling like a cheap restaurant. Nicely decorated. Staff were amazing & although our waiter approached our table a bit too often for our liking, he was very polite, helpful & accommodating. Probably paid extra attention to us due to not so many diners but he was very sweet (too often we complain about bad customer service but certainly not here!) Great restaurant with equally fab staff & food. You can actually hear each other talking! Lovely night out & perfect location for catching up with my friend! Thanks # 1 xx
Good food and friendly service but one or two negatives. I ordered the "surf and turf" and got a steak that was hardy bigger than a burger. As that dish cost £7 more than the other steaks, this was a bit disappointing. My friends ordered peppercorn sauce which never turned up, and they were out of stock on vanilla ice cream for dessert so we had to have chocolate instead. They did give us free coffees afterwards though, and the food itself was very nice. I would still come back here in a group, but probably not at busy times.
Food was excellent if you like your steaks rare or medium, entertainment was great and staff reasonably attentive, but very curteous.
The cocktails were great & so were the steaks . We had the hot starters which were a let down. Too much coconut sauce in scallop & prawn dish. Overwhelming! However we will defo return as the whole experience was enjoyable. And the staff were very friendly too.
