Very busy Easter Sunday but very nice food, bit of a confusion with the starter so waited quite a while but the service was good around the wait.

The food was delicious, large portions and freshly made. The staff were very polite and helpful; I'd asked for a candle in my mum's dessert to celebrate her birthday and they were very accommodating, even though they had ran out of our wanted dessert they still put a candle in my mums ice cream! Excellent meal and service.

Easy on-line booking system. Service fast even at busy times. Food has tasty, wholesome, home cooked flavour. One wrong order and one arrived cold for our party of six. Quite expensive for the amount of food received but overall a very pleasant experience.

Not the friendliest service and the food wasn’t great. Our lasagne was disappointing and we left most of it. It was quite expensive too. If the food and service was great it would have been acceptable for the price charged but we left totally disappointed. Our waiter came over to the table and got a tablet out to start taking orders. He didn’t say a word whilst stood there tapping away on it and it was quite awkward. He then looked over the top of his tablet at us and went “Drinks?” It didn’t get much better after that. We won’t return and wouldn’t recommend it.

Food was very average. Ordering smaller portions for the kids was a real hassle. The pancetta was really fatty in the carbonara, when I mentioned it , they laughed and said it's pancetta! It was alright by I'll not revisit when in Edinburgh.

The first waitress who severed us was very abrupt and not helpful at all, as I ask for help regarding what was Gluten free on the menu, and was quite rude, especially when we asked for more time as we were talking, basically demanding us to order our drinks. The second waitress was better but forgot one of the orders and my poor friend ending up eating by herself as we had all finished eating by the time her meal arrived. Disappointed

Wonderful evening. We requested a time change on our reservation booking for 4 with only one hour notice and Luca kindly accommodated us. Fantastic attentive service by Italian Professionals who clearly took pride From the wine selection to the delivery of all 4 courses. Thank you Luca and all staff.

The staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant was very busy when we arrived which we thought was a good sign. However. the food was not as good as we had hoped. The lasagne was very stodgy with more pasta than mince, and the mushroom pasta was too creamy and sickly. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant and wouldn't go back.

This was a busy place on a Saturday night but the service was good nevertheless and we enjoyed the meal. I enjoyed a seafood lasagne and salad and my wife had a funghi porchini pasta which she said was good. We would return here but are not often in Edinburgh.

Authentic, delicious food, with great service. A little slice of Italy, right here in the Grassmarket. We recommend the pizza and the seafood Fettuccine particularly.

We were greated and seated by friendly and helpful staff. Ordered a range of antipasti, a soup and a lasagne to come all together. Everything perfect. We enjoyed the nice meal and drinks, finishing with a delicious dessert. All the staff were attentive and chatted to us about Edinburgh. Great!!

Disappointing meal really on our first eveymeal in Edinburgh. The Italian restaurant appears authentic however the garlic bread was crispy and dry with a little garlic butter in the middle. My salmon pasta meal was just ok and could be described as mushy. I didn't eat much of it. My husband had pasta Bolognese and again it was just ok. Sorry but I won't return here. I have to say though that we did complain about the food and it was taken of the bill. It's a popular restaurant and busy. Maybe we just had bad luck on that night.

Food was great. Staff were friendly. Sadly the whole evening was ruined by a large party of very drunk girls a few tables over. The staff could not deal with them and the foul language and shouting was disturbing to our party and I am sure other diners.

The staff were really polite and friendly however the food was really poor. We had Spaghetti Carbonara, Calzone. Mushroom Risotto. All tasted bland, the Risotto rice was hard and lacking any flavour. We were really disappointed as it was for my husbands Birthday. We will not be returning.

A traditional cosy Italian offering a good range of traditional Italian favourites!! Hearty portions and friendly service along with a fair price for central City location make it a favourite choice. If any criticism at all, quite steep drinks prices. At £8 per glass of wine, order a bottle!! Better value and you get to spend longer in his cosy Grassmarket haunt.

Lovely Italian on the Grassmarket. Really friendly staff and reasonable prices. Our mains took a while to come, but the staff were more worried about it than we were and brought us a free round of drinks (just as our mains arrived so result!)
