London's Pak Choi serves Chinese food that's traditional and full of flavour. Situated on Loughton High Road, this restaurant has been around for 25 years, and that's an eternity in this city's ever-changing restaurant scene. The restaurant's menu is packed with tasty options for vegetarians and meat lovers alike, so it can be tough to know where to start. We recommend beginning with appetisers like Mongolian lamb, dry salt pepper ribs or satay chicken skewers. As for mains, you can't go wrong with the Szechuan beef, codfish in sweet and sour sauce or the mushroom fried rice. Whatever it is you decide, we're sure you'll be pleased. A very enjoyable meal. Good quantities of food. We had crispy duck in pancakes, singapore noodles, chicken in cashew nuts and Kung Po chilli prawns. The prawn dish was not on the menu but they were willing to do it for us. Nice atmosphere and fairly busy for early on a Thursday evening. Would go there again.
The service was slow, and we waited a long time before the order was taken. However when the food arrived it was excellent. We did not receive an itemized bill, which would have been helpful. Unfortunately we did not ask for an itemized bill. I think it should have been given to us a policy.
Very good. Friendly staff, efficient service, good quality food, nice selection on set menu, reasonable value for money. Nice touch giving us complimentary drink at the end of our meal. Will definitely recommend and return.
