Indian and Tapas: two types of eating many may not associate together, but boy do they work. At Papa J’s Indian Tapas Restaurant in Luton, this style of eating has local foodies absolutely buzzing. In this town centre restaurant, the menu is awash with delicious small plates, designed to share among friends and family. Essentially, it’s a brilliant mix of tapas-style Indian food. You’ll find a plethora of dishes on offer here, with vegetarian, seafood, chicken and meat tapas menus alongside a mains selection for those with heartier appetites. What could be better than feasting over several tasty dishes with your nearest and dearest? You won’t have to wonder in this Wellington Street restaurant – brilliant!
Even though we'd booked at 7pm our table wasn't ready until 7.15! When we did sit down and ordering our drinks it took another 40 minutes for our popadoms to arrive and another 10 minutes for our drinks! We ordered several tapas dishes which were very good but very disappointed with a lack of meat in the lamb main dish. Not the normally good standard we've had at Papa J's before. It was my daughters 17th birthday as well so was a little disappointed to say the least.
Perfect as always! Best restaurant outside of London by a mile! The concept is brilliant and the quality of the food is second to none. I'd recommend the queen platter.
