About Poetic License

At Poetic License in Sunderland’s Roker Hotel, the focus is on food for the soul. We’re talking about food that’s perfect for sharing like hanging kebabs, small plates, sample platters and much more. Poetic License is much more than a cool cafe and restaurant, it’s also a sleek cocktail bar serving up an array of cocktails, craft beers and fine wines. At this Roker restaurant, we recommend dishes like the jerk chicken flatbread, cochinta pibil pork tacos, the 8oz rump steak or the stacker burger, two beef patties piled high with two onion rings, cheese, bacon and burger relish. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Book your table now.

Food was absolutely lovely and the service was fantastic. We will definitely be going back again, and would highly recommend to others. We were lucky to have a table in the window, and with the sun shining, made for a beautiful view. Thank you.
