These guys are old school, sticking to the tried and true traditions that established South Asian food atop the list of Britain’s favourite cuisines. Nothing is over-the-top, just a cosy, welcoming restaurant with pristinely set tables and friendly staff, where delicious Indian and Bangladeshi dishes are served up without pomp and circumstance but with so much substance. Found on High Street just a short walk from Potters Bar station, Pubali Tandoori sets itself apart from other nearby eateries with an incredible array of authentic classics, from biryani and balti to masala and madras, as well as some superb specialties like dupiaza and dansak that come in countless varieties. It’s great for group gatherings and families, and whatever the occasion, Pubali Tandoori is great for the taste receptors.
We enjoyed a pre-theatre meal at the restaurant. The staff were polite, the service was efficient and the food very good. We would certainly recommend.
An excellent lunchtime visit. Friendly attentive staff and superb food, as always. I first visited this restaurant over 40 years ago and the standard is every bit as good now as it was back then. Highly recommended.
Food always good whether eat in or takeaway but always worth going to the restaurant as the staff treat you like royalty. Always a good evening, never rushed and the price is always a nice surprise!
The food we ordered was absolutely delicious. The staff were very well mannered and friendly. We had a enjoyable dining experience and would recommend and definitely go back.
Good choice of Bangladeshi dishes on the menu. All 5 in our party enjoyed their meals with the Peshwara nan bread much improved from last visit. Staff were attentative and service good.
Tasty meal, friendly service and a nice touch on Valentines day was a complimentary rose and balloon for the ladies. We would certainly return without hesitation.
