Rancho Steak House

The menu in the restaurant has higher prices than the menu on their website. This was disappointing! However, the food was so tasty. Altogether we got a ribeye steak, the mixed grill, and grilled vegetables. All absolutely delicious!

Steak was suppose to be medium but it was well done and really dry. Chicken, ribs and lamb chops were ok.

Tender meat, cooked perfectly as ordered. Beyond expectations. For such small place it offers great food and service.

Food was really lovely and the atmosphere cozy. I think the menu is very fairly priced, especially considering the current cost of beef/meat. I will definitely be back!

Too much fuss all the time, waiters were quite in your face when we didn’t need as much attention. My food order was wrong and they tried to charge me an extra £10 for the three king prawns they left out! A bit too expensive but ok for a now and again!

Food good service and restaurant could be improved. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t good. Felt rushed to get out as this is such a small place. Only at table for 45mins and the next diners were there ready to take our table.

Chicken wings tasted powdery stuffed bell pepper was nice my partners steak was cooked to his liking and my steak I asked for medium rare but was more on the rare side the roasted veg and chip were nice sorry I wouldn't go back

The quality of the food and the level of service provided was excellent as usual. I have never seen Rancho so busy even before COVID-19 - word must be getting out and not before time. Very well done to all the staff for making this a five-star plus evening.

My wife and I ordered a two course meal with a bottle of wine. Our starters of stuffed Pepper and grilled sausage were very good indeed. My wife’s main of grilled chicken was a little dry but satisfactory. My 9oz fillet steak was very good but unspectacular. The accompanying salad leaves were a little dull. The service was satisfactory. The decor was a little downmarket and we were a little chilly, sat near the door. The wine was a little overpriced for what it was. The bill came to £93 which was high for what we got. Overall ok but wouldn’t really recommend

Nacho started was very tasty and totally enough for 2 of us. Steak cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! Was slightly let down by the frozen chips and onion rings. But overall would definitely go back for the choice of steak dishes!

The restaurant is very small and the meals lack variety in cooking as well as in choice. The staff were good but its not very welcome to stay even longer after a meal

My husband and I love ranchos. There is no better value steak house in Edinburgh. The quality and quantity that you get for your money is amazing. The fillet streak is delicious, melt in the mouth. Staff are also fantastic. We will be back!!

Good service, nice staff, lovely food, good atmosphere. Went with our 8 year old and menu suited him, but he is a good eater and wants more than nuggets and chips so this place was perfect for all!

We usually manage to visit Rancho once a month - the food and service level is always first-class. Booking through Quandoo makes life so much easier
