For a, erm, real taste of India in central Exeter, Real India is the restaurant to try. This is a small but delightful restaurant on South Street that’s amassed quite a local following. It’s simple, well-priced and the food is as authentic as you’ll get in town. The menu consists of all the favourites you likely already know as well as plenty of Real India signatures that you likely don’t. As such, this is a restaurant where you’ll want to branch out and try something new. We can’t recommend Real India enough and to avoid any disappointment it’s certainly wise to reserve a table in advance.
Lovely place. Friendly staff, great food - what more could you wish for. We went as a group of six men, and had a wide range of dishes all of which were delicious.
The food was excellent. The ingredients tasted really fresh and good quality meat used. We found the Tikka Masala to be particularly tasty. I was, however, fairly shocked by the small portion sizes of the curries and the rice.
Excellent tasty food and good service. Had the akbori gost which had a good mix of flavour and heat. Will certainly be going there again.
