The Red Hart Inn in the village of Blaison near Gloucester is a great traditional pub in a beautiful setting. The building itself has been there since at least the 16th century and has been modernised over the years whilst keeping the traditional charm of the low beam ceilings and original flagstone floors. The Red Hart Inn is a great (and dog-friendly) place to relax after a long ramble across the stunning Wye Valley, with a menu full of traditional dishes that you’ll love. You’ll also find a number of dishes with a modern twist, and there’s even a vegan menu. The atmosphere is relaxed and jovial regardless of the West Country weather.
Very friendly staff, staff managed very well with large amount of customers, very dog friendly bar, seems to be very popular with dog walkers.
One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had out in a while.
We had to wait for 40 minutes for our food, but it was worth the wait as the food was lovely. Good sized portions, perfectly cooked veg and good service. We have eaten there on numerous occasions and will eat there again.
