It was our first visit to the Red Lion and we were very pleasantly surprised! The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and the service was excellent.

Very disappointed,overpriced and small portions.We went in hungry and came out hungry.£22.50 for a steak with a few mushrooms and a few roast potatoes,,no sauce or gravy as that would have been another 1.50..All 4 meals lukewarm and slow to arrive.

I took my elderly disabled mother although there is a good car park to rear there is no rear access to enter so she had to hobble round to the front. Staff were very helpful but the lamb stew was not to her liking, we were not charged but spoilt the meal out.

I went to the Red Lion for my mother's birthday. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. We all did. The staff are very friendly too.

Table at7.30pm After meal we were asked if we wanted anything else.asked for coffee -got told machine turned off. We said oh ok and then she said well it is quite late! It was 9.30pm. Rude to the point of extreme. Terrible! She clearly didn’t want to do her job and wanted to go and stand outside the pub with her friends. Perhaps this is the reason you are empty!!! Food was great but with an attitude like that - it’ll never work.

The service food and timing was perfect. This is our 2nd visit in 2weeks would recommend to try.

Great reopening under new owners/management for this lovely English pub on Wooburn Green. Exceptional personal service and fabulous food. The dry-aged beef dish was the best I’ve tasted anywhere. Lovely village setting with outdoor seating on the Green and garden at the back. Inside, a bar, restaurant seating and beautifully styled private room. Car parking to rear.

Excellent food and good value just a shame there was very few others in the pub

First visit to this restaurant for a family meal 3 adults and 2 children. The place has been decorated to a very high standard and feels very welcoming, the staff were all very friendly and the service was fab. Food was delicious but only one little gripe the children’s sausage and mash, there was a teaspoon of mash potato that really let it down! But we asked for some more and was given some willingly. All in all would recommend this lovely old inn and will definitely be going back soon.

Would absolutely recommend this pub! Really lovely surroundings, great service and the best pub roast I’ve personally ever had (that’s coming from a fussy vegetarian!) My whole party agreed the food was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the fact it’s dog friendly in the bar was a massive plus for me. Definitely 5 stars!
