Of all the Eastern European cuisines that London has to offer, Romanian cuisine is probably the least well-known among western Europeans, but thankfully Ilford locals – and adventurous foodies from across the city – have Restaurant Moldova to visit, sampling some of the most hearty and flavoursome dishes and wines (the region of Codru has some of the world’s biggest wine cellars) that this nation has to offer. We recommend going for one of the generously-apportioned platters, allowing you and your group a good survey of what the kitchen is capable of. Located on Eastern Avenue, right next to Gants Hill station and the junction with Cranbrook Road, Restaurant Moldova invites diners to share a tipple and traditional soups, stews and much more besides.
Nice environment, good atmosphere clean and good service. Food was good and the prices are fair. So. I shall come back again. Was a good time with music and friends a nice evening
Food was really delicious. Fast service but the restaurant was relatively empty. Loud dance music was a bit tacky and not a big fan of Romanian wine but overall very pleasant experience
