As the charming name alludes to, Rickshaw offers Indian street food done absolutely right. This isn’t your standard Indian meal out, far from it, in fact. Rickshaw is different Indian dining and you’ll find this small but completely fantastic restaurant on Brick Lane. Hungry folk flock here from the surrounding areas of London – Spitalfields, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green, The City, you name it – and that’s because they know they’re assured of quality. Here you’ll find small plates to tease, plenty from the grill, old favourites and some unique biryani that’s cooked and served in a clay pot to preserve booming flavour. Reserve a table now.
Went there for the 8 course tasting menu, and it was honestly such a good deal. You got a variety of dishes, and the portions were big enough to send you rolling out of there.
You must try this new restaurant. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. I'm coming back with 7 friends soon and am looking forward to it already.
Simply the best food on Brick Lane. Not the the usual balti and jalfrezi, but a really interesting and delicious range of dishes, beautifully presented by friendly staff. Highly recommended.
