Thai people revere their king. More than that, they love him. So there’s little wonder that so many restaurants whose origins are firmly rooted in The Land Of Smiles brand themselves ‘royal’ or similar. Doing so entails a certain level of service, a certain standard of presentation, and at Aberdeen’s Royal Thai, in the heart of the city centre right across from the train station, these regal requirements are admirably upheld. The restaurant has been in operation down Crown Terrace since 1992, and continues to please even the most magisterial of palates with a menu that plucks the best North Sea seafood and local Scottish produce from trusted suppliers to create authentic Thai dishes that are fully endorsed by connoisseurs of Southeast Asian cuisine and Thai natives alike. Efficient, friendly service for both food and drinks. Food excellent, served hot and kept warm on serving hot plates. Lovely restaurant, comfortable seating and a superb menu offering many choices. The only reason I didn't give a 6 was the background music, "Let it Go" from Frozen, really!!!
