You’ll be unsurprised to hear that Saffron Gold offers the gold standard when it comes to Indian cuisine. This is a Warwick restaurant with a fine reputation and even finer, award-winning food. Set on Westgate Close in Packmores, locals flock to Saffron Gold Warwick again and again to enjoy a menu that puts smiles on faces. Of course you can expect the curry house favourites, but diners of Warwick rely on Saffron Gold for their signature dishes that are a treat to behold. Consistently voted one of the best curry houses in the whole of the UK, Saffron Gold Warwick gets Indian dining absolutely bang on. The restaurant itself, found on Westgate Close in Packmores, is simple yet stylish with classic white table cloths and enough light so that you can actually see your food – very much a setting to nicely complement the menu. The welcome and the service at Saffron Gold Warwick are second to none in the area with a high-end feeling without any pretence whatsoever. All in all, it’s no surprise that Saffron Gold is so well-loved by Packmores locals and indeed the rest of Warwick.
The variation on the menu at Saffron Gold Warwick means it stands out even further from the crowd. You can expect clay oven specialities as well as an impressive selection of ocean specials. Think Bengal fish curry, bhaja fish sizzlers and even minced crab cooked Goan-style. You’ve then got biryanis and a selection of Saffron Gold signatures (so special that they’re not available for takeaway customers), alongside biryanis and all the classic UK favourites. So if all that’s not enough to tempt you to Saffron Gold Warwick, we don’t know what is. Get a reservation under your belt and head to Packmores as soon as you can.
We had a lovely meal at the Saffron. I booked it though the Quandoo online booking system and it was very simple to use. The table was ready for when we arrived. I would recommend using this system for booking tables at restaurants.
I only discovered this restaurant recently through an invitation from friends. This visit was my first return. The second experience was no less enjoyable. It’s a relaxed environment with attentive (but not overly) staff, very spacious so you don’t feel cramped and delicious food. Be prepared though, the menu is extensive! And that’s a complaint. There’s a super choice which I’m sure would accommodate all tastes. The table service is quick and the time from order to table more than acceptable - with no compromise to the food quality. I can see it becoming a real favourite.
The service is excellent, they really look after you. The food is amazing, if you can't eat all of your food you can take it home they will pack it up for you. First time for my partner and he was very impressed and loved the food.
