Love this restaurant. Never fails to satisfy. My favourite locally.

I absolutely love Sale Pepe restaurant, Shotley Bridge. The food was delicious as always and portion sizes are very generous. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Had a delicious meal which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Booked for my husband's birthday, went with our daughter. The service was excellent and the food was very good. The waiters were very polite and friendly.

The meal was lovely I went on my birthday evening with my son. The service was poor, the waitress wasn't very attentive. We had to ask for more drinks. No one came to our table to ask if our food was OK (which is was) I had to catch her attention to ask for drinks then when she took our plates away she didn't ask if we wanted to see the sweet menu. I had to again catch her attention to ask her if we could look at the menu which I wasn't happy about. I felt that once we had been shown to our table, and first drinks were ordered, we were forgotten about. It is the small things which are sometimes lacking in this restaurant.

One waitress was very brusque. I’ve got used to her now and don’t think she means it but others think she’s rude - she does come across as that, shouting at her colleagues across the restaurant and being curt and off hand with customers. A few more manners would go a long way! The other staff are all lovely. Wednesday early evening was nice - not too many screaming kids just nice families and groups having a good evening.

We have only been to the restaurant a handful of times but we love it every time and the food is lovely.

Excellent meal as always. Cauliflower & Blue Stilton soup was delicious. The bread is scrumptious. I usually have whatever is served as the Fish special, and I did: sea bass, lentils & chorizo served with potatoes. Perfect. My wife enjoyed Pil Pil prawns and Lasagne - so much food, she brought some home!

Family friendly, good value and great food. The kids love the pototo skins!
