It was very disappointing that, on a cold Hogmanay, Sambuca was uncomfortably cold. That spoiled the experience for all of our group. Pricing - at £40 for a simple 3-course menu - was definitely on the top side of acceptability.

The food was incredible and the staff incredibly helpful and friendly - when my daughter and my grandson wanted to split a pasta dish, the server brought an extra-large portion (no extra cost) so that both would have enough. Wondeful.

When the four of us went in, we were the only people in, so it was very quiet. However, we demolished our food leaving 4 totally cleaned plates. Three of us had steaks, all with different, really tasty sauces (plenty of sauce, which I like) and one sea-food pasta. Two of us had dessert, one cheesecake and one with ice-cream and sambuca. Both were excellent, but special shout to my sambuca. Service was pleasant and friendly. It was our first visit, and it was a bit worrying to go into an empty restaurant, but we will definitely go back.

Super restaurant. Very welcoming with a great and varied menu. All 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Presentation and taste was excellent. House white wine was very good. Including a tip £30 a head which was for a main meal each and garlic bread starter. We will be back.

Family birthday party. Very obliging and interested - and remembered us from a visit many years before. Oh and terrific meal!! Kids cleared their plates - unheard of!!
