We had the most delicious meal and they went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect - even making me hollondaise sauce to go with my artichoke. Exceptional food and exceptionally good service - You must visit

A quiet night in January for San Remo, but we enjoyed ourselves. I have been a regular customer for many years. The closure of Hammersmith Bridge has been a blow to all the local businesses, but we will continue to support our friends.

I've known San Remo for many years but hadn't visited for a while. It has changed hands, and the previous owner was a hard act to follow. The new chef/manager was extremely personable and we had a nice 2-course meal followed by coffee and a complementary limoncello. The only downside was that apart from us the restaurant was completely empty, so there was very little atmosphere, and it was rather cold. We were there from 8pm to 1030 - sad to see such a good place clearly struggling for customers. That said, it was a Monday evening, Hammersmith Bridge is closed for several years and we're in the week running up to Christmas so perhaps some of the locals have gone away already. I hope things pick up again for this special restaurant. Try it out, let's get their numbers back up!

Very disappointing. Overcooked food. Mediocre service. Wine from Tescos. Sorry to be negative, we went there to support a local business but they are going to have to up their game to get repeat custome.

We have been visiting San Remo for years. It is an old favourite. The newer owners are also nice but it is very different with a much smaller menu. The woman serving us was lovely. Efficient and attentive but she was on her own and I would suggest that it would have been better if she had somebody to support her.

Very friendly reception and good service. The food was generous and very tasty. The decor in the restaurant is very attractive with bright white walls and pictures of famous Hollywood actors adorning the walls.

Worst experience ever - we were told there was just one pizza available after having ordered (apparently due to high demand but it was 7.50pm and just one other table in the restaurant). Pizza arrived and it was 2 inches thick and uncooked. It was meant to be prosciutto and rocket, but had a sad few wilted leaves on it and mushed up cooked meat. My husband’s pasta was a watery pale bowl of tagliatelle with a few prawns and none of the promised mushroom. The waitresses immediately apologised and took the pasta back to the kitchen. I sent the pizza back, and told the staff we were leaving. The Chef was quite aggressive with my husband, rejecting our suggestion that the pizza wasn’t cooked. Just the most awful food we’ve ever been served in a restaurant - very sad as it was known to be a great local Italian often frequented. AVOID!

We used to go to this place a lot a few years ago but now it’s under new management and much needs to improve to get it back to where it once was. We found our waitress great tut the manager was not welcoming and made us feel guilty when we raised issues We are never ones to write up bad reviews but unfortunately it would not be fair to those who are undecided if we did not provide this feedback. It needs to improve a lot.

AS I said you are much too generous in the size of your helpings!!! I will come again, soon, and will make a special request to receive less! Think about the improvement in your margins if you reduced the size of portions by only 10 or 20%.
