Another brilliant night out at the Santa Marina. Delicious food, excellent service, superb cocktails. Atmosphere was lively and warm, restaurant was quite busy but had a real buzz and lots of staff on, all very friendly, service was so quick, we didn’t have to wait long for anything. This is by far the best place to eat in the Scottish Borders. We will come back to the Santa Marina again and again!!!!

Walking into this restaurant we were impressed with the modern look of it and quickly shown to table. Unfortunately we were placed next to a group of 10 ladies enjoying a night out and they were very loud, we did ask to be moved as a table came free next to us but waiter said it wouldn't be much better, and no one offered to move us as tables became free later. Discussion between us was not easy because of noise levels. The food was disappointing, the pate was quite wet although had a nice taste, menu stated chips served with pasta!!!! but they were only luke warm and sauce of lasangne could have done with a lot more seasoning other than a very large bay leaf. My colleagues were not impressed with their starters or cannelloni. Unfortunately from this visit I would not be able to recommend, however always willing to give somewhere a second chance as everyone has an off night so will probably return but not on a Saturday.

There was a wonderful atmosphere to the place having never been. The staff gave us an excellent service and were very courteous and friendly, making sure we had an exceptional evening. The food was unbelievably delicious. We will definitely return.
