Saute Grill in the centre of St Albans is where to head for the most authentic Turkish cuisine in town. For lunch and for dinner, this is an elegant and extremely stylish restaurant complete with leather chairs and classic white napkins. Then, from the menu you can expect fine hot and cold mezze dishes that are fun to experiment with and perfect for sharing. For a larger meal, indulge with fresh meat or seafood from the grill – we recommend the house special duck breast with apricot sauce for a dish just that little bit different, perhaps with a side of bulgur or asparagus. You’ll find Saute Grill on Adelaide Street, just up from The Alban Arena and with ample car parking nearby. Head there armed with a reservation to be sure of a seat and some damn good Turkish food.
The food was good, but we thought the wine was over-priced and expensive which made the meal much more expensive, even the Turkish wine, for a Turkish restaurant.
Overall good service and the food was nice. Had a selection of small hot starters (mezze type of thing) between 3 and that was enough.
Great food, lovely atmosphere and very good, attentive staff too.
