Learn howSavas Kiemas bears the distinction of being Northampton’s first Lithuanian restaurant, serving up dishes typical of this largely unknown eastern European cuisine. Starters like the herring with roast potatoes or a rustic herring dish served with sour cream, onions and tomatoes are a great introduction to the food culture of this Baltic state, as are the soups. The main dishes are hearty and very affordable – we recommend the duck breast with fried peppers and tomatoes or the sea bass from the bilingual English/Lithuanian menu. Located on Kettering Road, close to The Racecourse on the western fringe of Abington, Savas Kiemas is a cosy spot for a meal, with a great range of tap beers and cocktails too.
