Birmingham’s Southside has a great mix of international cuisine, and is the home to the city’s gay village and China Town. This blend of cultures and peoples makes a great spot for Shangri-La. Here diners will find their favourite Chinese dishes served up with big flavours, each beautifully plated. Shangri-La emphasises the deep love of spice found in Sichuan cuisine, so expect a punchy bite when you order salt and pepper king prawns, or scallops in garlic and ginger sauce – there’s nothing shy about these flavours!
Shangri-La is a relaxed restaurant where friendly service takes centre stage, so expect plenty of suggestions on specials and how to make the most of the extensive menu. Birmingham is fortunate to have a restaurant that offers such high-quality Chinese cooking at affordable prices. Diners can finish up their meals with a round of Irish coffees and still expect change from a fifty for a meal for two. This Station Street eatery is open daily from 12pm and serves right through until 11pm. For those with a hankering for something spicy on-the-go, Shangri-La offers a great takeaway option.
