About Skimmington Castle

Skimmington Castle Reigate Heath is a combination of a few of our favourite things. It’s a family-run pub that not only serves amazing European and British pub grub but is also dog-friendly, so what’s not to love? Located in Skimmington Cottages in Reigate, the welcoming and friendly atmosphere here will have you returning time and time again. Summer at Skimmington Castle is spent out on the deck or front patio taking in the stunning scenery with a crisp, cold pint in hand. Whereas, the colder months are spent cosied up beside the fireplace with hot whiskeys galore. So whether it’s a sunny Sunday drinking on the deck, dinner with the family or a cream tea, ensure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

What a lovely pub - starts off with ample parking and it just gets better! We had booked a table but it was very noisy so the very pleasant Polish waitress moved us to a quieter corner. There was a varied Specials Board but the menu itself was varied and plentiful. The waitress did a wonderful job as she had 2 rooms to look after but the service was cheerful, quick and efficient - most importantly, the food was excellent. Really recommend this 17th Century pub, most enjoyable evening.

The 'Skim' has confined space and low ceilings so appears somewhat lacking in light on dank damp evenings but the food is very good and provided at competitive price making for a worthwhile enjoyable experience
