Slug and Lettuce St Albans

Overall a nice visit, but it was afternoon tea and they had run out of clotted cream! Lots of shops nearby maybe could have gone and bought some?? Our staff member was friendly

We had a great night for my 50th birthday , staff were fantastic , great service , music really good , we danced all night what more can I ask for , also really good offers on the cocktails too , thank u xx

When I booked it was not clear that there would not be waiter service at the table. When we arrived, the waiter saw us waiting near his station, but carried on clearing tables without checking that we had a reservation. After several minutes we caught his attention, he checked on the system and showed us to our reserved table, but again (bless him!?) he didn't mention that we would have to order at the bar and he did not give us a menu. After several more minutes, I went to the bar and fortunately it wasn't busy. The barperson was helpful and explained the situation. She brought our menus over and did actually take our order for drinks. Once we understood the system, we accepted the protocol. It could be better communicated, The meal took a while coming, but it was tasty!
