A large venue that probably had a great atmosphere on a busy weekend. We went during the week and it was empty and the music was far too loud for any conversation, which was a shame.

Really nice decor, great space and good choice of beers; it was quiet and we got table service to that was an added bonus. The only down point was that every time either doors opened, we got engulfed in a breeze of freezing air - can't really prevent people from opening both outer and inner doors at the same time but maybe one of those hot air air-con that blows hot air on the door would help combat the cold? It was also quite noisy given that it's all open plan so having just one group of people laughing loudly made the whole place feel noisy - would have preferred a quieter space for eating but I realise it's not a restaurant as such.

We were in early so no one around but they were open. No one served us. I had to go to the bar. Food very mediocre. Cocktails were good. Staff uninterested. Wouldn't go again.

Attended for a work Christmas meal, was very pleased with the food and great atmosphere - however, we were brought our starters and our mains all at once, which caused issues as we didn't have enough room on the table and some of the table were forced to leave their starters due to this. Very bizarre!!! Not sure if this is a normal thing at Smokin bar and grill but it's not ideal...

well after booking for 5 people we were ignored by 4 waitresses for ten minutes stood at the door, then we were told we could only have an hour to eat before they had to move us as. When we asked why they said because a bigger party needed the table. After complaining we were then told we had asked to be placed on that table when we didn't. The food was small and expensive. I'm only giving it a 2 because we got a discount from complaining.

Fire alarm constantly going off with no evacuation carried out. Didn’t bother eating of drinking as none of the staff made an attempt to come and let us know what was going on

The atmosphere and ambience were lovely and relaxed. Staff friendly too. But, what realy let it down was the food. It was flavourless unfortunately. If you work on improving that it could be perfect!

Food not bad but felt more like a basket meal rather than eating in a restaurant should improve the way things are served but food was nice

Great Service and atmosphere, although the food was a little underwhelming, felt the portions for the price was a little stingy, still felt hungry :-(

Small portions and overpriced , even with a 2 for 1 deal - won’t be going back. £15 for a fully loaded burger that definitely was not fully loaded.

Average. Food was ok but not seasoned properly and some of it was burnt and had to be sent back, some did not arrive on time and by time it arrived other food was cold. Service was slow and wait staff standing around chatting, ignoring us when we were trying to get there attention. Would not recommend or return.

Although I have been a couple of times before on a week day and I have thoroughly enjoyed it, I went on a Sat afternoon with friends and the service wasn’t very good at all, drinks took too long to come and we were not asked at any point if we wanted another.

The burger was clearly a frozen patty and quite flavourless. The bun had been put on the grill but was burnt and that’s all that I could taste. Wouldn’t go back. It’s a shame as the bar had a great atmosphere and the menu sounded Great.

Definitely not a place to eat, more of a bar. Service was poor, waitresses didn’t know what they were doing. Food very average. Don’t recommend

Have to say we were really disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The waiter sat us with two menus not even mentioning that the restaurant had run out of bourbon sauce (1 of 2 options on the menu) we waited 20 mins for someone to take our order (it wasn't even busy the staff we just stood talking) then informed us when we tried to order that they had ran out that morning. I just can't understand how a restaurant that specialised in bbq can run out of the main sauce and not mention it. We were really disappointed in the whole experience and won't be back!

Beautiful food, great cocktails, great beer and an awesome atmosphere. Went as a group and we all enjoyed the food, would definitely go again. Great price too to say it's located in the centre of Leeds.

Pork ribs were served luke warm to cold, and pretty tasteless. Steaks were tough. Not bad enough to cause a fuss with the staff but we would not return as meal was not cheap and you would expect a much better meal for the money.

Tasty food however the fillet steak and the buttermilk chicken would have been better if it was cooked a little less. Slightly burnt/crisp on the outside. Service was great and a nice setting. I also noticed a very good selection of drinks to choose from.

We went on. Wednesday evening. Only a couple of other parties in. Service was OK, food was average - very much freezer to fryer (you can see the chef cooking). Better places to go for a burger in Leeds, in my opinion. Try if you haven’t been before, we won’t be rushing back.

Great food terrifying ambiance! Far to loud, in a space as large as this you should be able to create a quieter area where you can hear yourself think and possibly have a conversation.

We were seated at a table and then waited for 20 mins to be served to no avail. Eventually someone came and asked us 'do you want any food or....'. Gave up and went elsewhere. The place cannot decide whether its a bar or restaurant - I would suggest it sticks to the former.

Good service and food arrived quickly. Cod was a little salty - could be down to personal taste. The Nachos with brisket chilli were excellent. Great value using taste card. Will come again.

Terrible. Arrived with no one to show us to our table we had to ask. Ordered drinks to be told four times they had run out of what we ordered. Waited 40 mins and still didn’t have a drink. Got told the kitchen shut at 9 but still hadn’t had our order taken at 8.45. Finally after being told for the fourth time they didn’t have another drink we ordered and still hadn’t started making our drinks after 40 mins some of which were only a beer we gave up and went somewhere else. I had this table booked for months but ended up with no drinks and no food. Terrible and would never go back.

Very nice option in the centre of Leeds as a bar/restaurant scenario serving good hearty meat dishes like steak and burgers and will definitely be back here. Very recommended

Food was amazing! And the service was really fast, could not recommend enough. Not much choice on the menu but that honestly didn’t matter when we got our food. The garlic and chili veg in particular was amazing.

Brilliant for food and drink, feels decidedly like you’re abroad! Great choice and location, the quality of the food and price of the drinks are reasonable
