No restaurant in Walsall can match the location and atmosphere of Sofia’s Italian Restaurant. Found inside the glorious Victorian Guildhall building on the High Street, right in the town centre, Sofia’s Italian Restaurant lets guests dine at grand Italian marble tables, surrounded by historical grandeur but encased by elegant modern design. Luckily for lovers of Italian food, Sofia’s Italian Restaurant has the culinary fare to back up this aesthetic beauty. The pizza menu is rich with authentic favourites, such as a frutti di mare for seafood enthusiasts, featuring North Sea prawns and luscious calamari on a traditional handmade base. The seafood selection only grows grander from there, while there are excellent vegetarian options like a classic aubergine parmesan bake, and Sofia’s Italian Restaurant even caters for the little ones with a special kids menu.
Terrible food for such a high price I'd of expected those meals at a local pub for 2for£10 not the prices we paid and to find out you get charged £5 to sit in there cold restaurant and eat terrible food that you pay for, the waiter had filthy finger nails and hands and had a horrible stench about him when I paid after we were finished I paid the bill £56 for two meals and two drinks he must of automatically expected I was giving him a tip as he never brought the change back I had to go and ask for the change I would avoid eating here at all costs
From the outside it looks nothing but the inside is amazing, I love this place for the ambience, it feels like your on holiday. Unfortunately, during out visit on a Saturday night, there was only 3 waitresses and the service was very slow, it wasn't a major problem and they kept apologising, but it didn't appear that busy. The food was good, the size of the main course was adequate for myself but not great for my husband (who eats a lot) gave us enough room for a dessert, very small fudge cake, half was hot half was cold! Overall, staff were friendly but could have been more attentive. Everyone there appeared to be there on Groupon vouchers, as were we, but we still ended up paying £31 extra!!
