Star of India is basically not good for Indian food lovers. Don’t expect Indian taste and flavours from there. Not recommended for Indian food lovers. Butter chicken was terrible. The need to change the restaurant name to fusion food. Travelled 50 miles for Indian tase but was not good experience with food.

Lovely food ,accommodated us when we said we were going to the cinema . Food was gorgeous. Authentic. Would be lovely to hear indian music and the waiters and waitresses in nice Indian outfits .

As usual the restaurant was busy but our table was ready when we arrived and we were warmly greeted. Service was excellent, with orders taken when we were ready, and food arrived shortly afterwards. Always of a high standard, our meals were delicious and amply portioned. (Peshwari naans not to be missed) Obviously customers are mostly regulars and I noticed each one was greeted by name and with a warm welcome. Coupled with friendly staff and great food, Star of India is a great venue for food.

We had a brilliant dinner. It was my first time and I couldn’t fault it. The place is lovely, the food was great, the service was great too and very attentive. Staff were really nice too and the atmosphere and the detail to everything was just great. Just as a side note I noticed that we weren’t given the receipt to check over before making payment which I would like to check next time as a standard practice, but otherwise all was just superb and we already can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

From the moment we walked through the door we were made most welcome. Quickly lead to our table and drinks order taken. Order taken and complimentary sharing starter given, a very thoughtful touch. My husband had Chicken Jalfrezi and I had Railway Lamb and a Garlic Naan. Food was exceptionally good. Absolutely delicious. We are planning our return in a couple if weeks time. Cannot wait!! Thet were busy, obviously as it was Valentines but we did not have to wait to long for our food which was very tasty as always.

Of the 4 main dishes ordered one was forgotten about by the staff. By the time it came the rice was cold. Half hearted apology, no offer to replace rice. Poor.
