Awesome pizza, awesome staff. Love my local! Thank you guys
Visited here last night (Tuesday). Overall, not an impressive experience. The main issue was poor service - it is really hard to get the waiter's attention, despite the restaurant not being too busy. We sat down with menus and were greeted by the waiter, who asked us what drinks we would like but then left to answer the phone and did not return for ten minutes. Ordered a wine and a coke, but had to remind the waiter twice before we received them. Ordered polenta chips as a starter, which arrived before the aforementioned drinks, and they were terrible - tasted like nothing and appeared to be a very small portion for the charge of five pounds. Complained, and the waiter tried a polenta chip and agreed they were not good so took this item off our bill. Our mains, however, were quite nice - we had a pizza and a baked chicken dish. Took ten minutes to find the waiter so we could request the bill. Would not go back here.
Stringray Cafe is one of my favourite restaurants in East London - wonderful food, great wine (including a great Bulgarian selection), excellent atmosphere and lovely staff. And that's not to mention the incredibly affordable prices and generous portions. I've spend a number of lovely birthdays here. Book to avoid disappointment.
We have been here many times over the years and Stringray Globe Cafe never disappoints. The pizzas are tasty and good value, and the atmosphere is fun.
Great place in terms of environment and vibes - walking into Stingray on a cold night is like coming home and meeting friends. Pizza a is good, but not up to the sourdough artisan pizza competitors that are overtaking London - still, I have a feeling that the pizza might not be why people are coming to visit this favourite neighbourhood joint!
We have been coming to Stringray for years. It's a go to dinnner if we have visitors and is an easy choice on a busy weeknight. The service can sometimes be a bit patchy but the food is good and well priced.
Good food and great atmosphere - one of few places that offer a great gluten free pizza! The staff are lovely and its all reasonably priced - Pizza and a drink for around £10!
