Delicious, authentic Thai food. Highly recommend the sharing platter for starters (£8.95 each) and 3 tasting bowls for mains (£15.95), if, like me, you adore all Thai food and find it difficult to have narrow it down to one. Cocktails are exquisite.
Over cooked seafood on all dishes.shrimps were like rubber. Fish cakes had texture & taste of playdoh. Complained but no remorse and still added 12.5% service charge on top.
The food at Suda Thai was really nice and tasted authentic. There was a vast selection to cater for all people. The service however was quite slow at times.
The service was good, the restaurant very stylish, but the food was awful & below average. It felt like eating a cheap take away. No value for money.Afterwards both myself & my husband had a horrible stomach ache and the taste left in my mouth was appauling.Had thai food before and was nothing like that.
Delicious food, though the service was a little shambolic. Brought us a starter we hadn't ordered and forgot one that we did (very nicely rectified though, as we got to keep the extra one!); also brought part of one diner's main course along with the starters. As our party decided to each order their own main course, we really liked the option to order 2 or 3 smaller curries as an individual main course so that you could still have a mix of dishes as if you were sharing. Would definitely go again.
Food was good and the place is nice and friendly.I thought it was a bit more expensive than Thai restaurants of similar quality that Inhave eaten at
Probably the worst Thai food I've ever tasted! I get better (actually pretty good) Thai food from the small place across Liverpool Street Station. Service was also quite forgettable. Pity because the restaurant is in a great location and has decent ambience.
The location is fine, but the food was not great, merely normal. Interior/design of the restaurant is alright. I would not recommend it to my friends.
Lovely place. Great food lots of choice and really delicious, nice cocktails although some are a bit pricey but nice for a treat and helpful service
Fantastic !!!!! Food was delicious !!! Can't wait to go back , lovely place with a lovely setting , we ate upstairs and it was so nice
Average food Terrible banana fritters Good service Had the pre theatre menu where pudding was on offer but was only shown the A La carte where prices were3 times more expensive
Great food and atmoshpere.. service too! In one of London's best hidden squares you can't ask for more with Singha by the pint, delicious Mussamam curry and top service
Service wasn't the best, however great quality food so made up for lack of service. Great location and good cheap prices for a lot of eating
Service you quick and staff friendly. Food amazing. i would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and even like the fact they have a takeaway menu.
This used to be my favourite restaurant and used to go there regularly. this time, the quality of the food was disappointing, the recipe has changed but didn't suit me.
Food was lovely, especially the starters and the sea bass, pudding was yummy , cocktails were good .service was friendly and would highly recommend it to family and friends.
Good food, efficient service and very nice wine. very happy with the overall experience and superb location for theatre and shops. bigger than it looks on the website and less like a cafe & more of a restaurant
The best Thai meal we have eaten in London for a long time. The Thai beef salad was spicy and authentic and could only have been improved by adding lots of cooling cucumber to balance the spiciness as they do in Thailand. The poached lime seabass was superb which we ordered alongside a wonderful beef Penang curry and Pak Choi in Oyster Sauce. The beef was cooked medium rare, a very pleasant change from the normal overcooked offerings served in other restaurants. We will be back very soon.
Great food and wine, service was great. Food took a while to arrive but the waiter couldn't have been more polite and comped us a round of drinks
What a lovely experience, the friendly helpful staff, amazing decor, great food and a good wine selection. My friends and I will definitely be going again
Very good food, the pre-theatre menu was ideal - a small variety of good sized dishes. We were able to order a mix and share. Waiters were friendly and knowledgeable, service could have been a bit quicker - important when it is a pre-theatre booking. Table spacious, seats comfortable, decor good, bathrooms clean.
Very tasty food with a variety to choose from. Good service. Good came very fast to the table. Very clean and tidy. I would go there again.
Good food, and reasonably priced for the area. Staff, although polite and attentive, didn't have that warm personal touch that you might get in a less busy, out of town restaurant. Enjoyed the meal, but wouldn't be fussy about returning to the restaurant.
It was pretty decent - the curries are the best and definitely get the corn fritters if you can. Our dish did come out like warm but they fixed it immediately.
Amazing food great location and good service Best thing is fhe very long menu to choose from with a vegetarian sectiion. Also portions are a good size!!
Restaurant looks very nice and clean, food was tasty but service time was atrocious! I ordered 2 mains at 5pm and received it 45 minutes later, i was told the reason for this was because I didn't order the starters and mains together....I never had to do this in any other restaurant i've visited! All in all it looked like they were short staffed, which they shouldn't have been as it was near prime hours on a Saturday!
Amazing, The meal was wonderful, The staff great. Great location. Jungle curry is a must if you like spicy!! Highly recommend we will be definitely coming back.
Good quality food and cocktails, and lovely friendly service. I felt the dishes were fairly authentic, and there was a large variety to choose from.
We had a table for 6 the food was delicious and cocktails were lovely, the waiting staff were extremely busy, water was regularly topped up when getting low which was great, when our meal was finished our plates were cleared but nobody asked whether we wanted dessert or coffee, we had to ask for the desert menu, but nobody came back to see what we wanted, the restaurant was now getting quieter, but nobody came to see what we wanted. On my way to the toilet I told the waiter we did not want dessert but could we have the bill, which did come quickly. We had to get the waiting staffs attention to pay the bill. This was my first visit and would definitely go back, the restaurant was packed but it was a Friday night.
Service was good. Food was delicious! Layout and decor, being in Covent Garden, were very smart and sophisticated. However the atmosphere was very casual - the perfect mix!
I advised the restaurant I was gluten free and booked a pre-theatre dinner. However, there was no gluten free option in the pre-theatre meal and ended up paying a lot more.
great attentive service ....amazing food, drinks dont feel strong at the time but are creepers and the venue is abdolutely gorgeous definitely recommend 100% this restaurant
The food was incredible. The service was great. The cocktails were amazing. They even accommodated my request at reheating my food as I felt it wasn't hot enough and I think they gave me a new plate. Very please. The price for the night as a whole was reasonable as well.
Fantastic little jem! Excellent food good portions great atmosphere Even took a takeaway home ( we were there for lunch ) highly recommend for authentic Thai food
Food was great, large selection of food and drinks. Shame service charge is added on a table of two and not left to the discretion of the diners, I always find this insulting as we would of left similar amount but having it already added is annoying.
Food and service were excellent, didn't run short on anything and the portions were huge. Book ahead though, as it was around 1600 when we arrived and there were no open tables for around ten minutes despite booking.
It's a fantastic place to eat! The staff were attentive, polite and helpful, the food was incredible and it all came at/to a reasonable price!
Great location and a menu full of delicious choices, although I would have preferred less seafood options on the platter - it didn't cater well for those that don't eat seafood. Only real concern was the slow service and a lack of interest when we asked to speed things up - an hour in and we'd only received our starters! A good place if you're not in a hurry though.
Good food and location but the service was a bit disappointing. The restaurant was only a quarter full, how do they cope with a full service? Furthermore, they added on a service charge of 15% which I don't think was warranted.
Pricey, over reliance on deep fried food. Bland main course. May have just chosen Badly but expected better. A bit disappointed. Service good and nice atmosphere.
Excellent Thai restaurant with very friendly service - and good and tasty range of food. Very helpful for one of our party who has a nut allergy.
Having just returned from Thailand the Massaman curry I had was well below par with the chicken being scraggy and there being more silver onion than potato. Otherwise, the service, food and ambience was good but not excellent as promised.
Food amazing, service very average. The restaurant was very noisy and the waiter had a soft voice with a strong accent. After the second time asking him to repeat I gave up. The other staff were audible over the noise. One incident was when another waiter walked past with a tray of drinks and a teapot. He was lazily swinging the scalding teapot by his side, pouring tea all over the floor! My waiter then slipped on it and almost fell. She then got a mop and mopped it, but surely OH&S is a concern? As I said the food was amazing, especially the beef panang. Portion sizes are small, which doesn't bother me, but males might find they're still hungry even after three courses. All in all, I'd go back but the service needs a little more attention.
Wonderful, friendly service, family friendly , great food and splendid drinks menu. The restaurant has a lot of vegetarian options, my favorite dish from what we ordered has to be the green papaya salad, u forgettable flavors that leaves you craving for more!
great restaurant , good food, friendly service, quiet but cozy location in central london. we first dined there last week. loved it so much came back again 1 week later.
Atmosphere was nice, relaxing and great for an evening meal. Staff are efficient and food is good quality thai cuisine. Sometimes orders are wrong but staff never question replacing it.
Veggie options tasted Ok. Wouldn't order the same options again but might try something else. Dessert and drinks were nice though. Service was good but not great. Wouldn't visit again in a hurry.
Ambience and food was very good. Service friendly but not great. Asked for a modification to make one of the vegetarian starters vegan, but dish came out 'normal'. Starters and mains strangely also arrived together. Can recommend the Thai Pimms. Discretionary 12.5% service charge applies.
The food at Suda is always amazing. One of the best Thai restaurants in London. Coupled with fantastic service and affordable prices, this restaurant is a must for any Thai food lovers!
Great food and service. Perfect break between our two Harry Potter shows at Palace Theater. Nice location with many people and no traffic. Try their Thai Tea!
